Today, Focus Entertainment and Saber Interactive premiered a new trailer for their highly-anticipated third-person action game Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2.

The trailer reveals a whole new PvE experience and the return of the beloved PvP mode from the first game. Unveiled during the Warhammer Skulls Festival live stream, this trailer also marks the opening of digital pre-orders on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Steam and Epic Games Store ahead of the release on September 9, in addition to the already-available retail pre-orders.

A brand-new 3-player co-op mode and the return of PvP

Old and new fans are in for a multiplayer treat! In addition to bringing back Space Marine's iconic battle against the Chaos Space Marines in three 6v6 PvP modes (Annihilation, Seize Ground, and Capture & Control), Space Marine 2 features an all-new co-op mode, letting you slay xenos with up to 2 friends in 3-player "Operations Mode." Each PvE and PvP mode lets players choose between 6 available classes, ranging from the unflinching Bulwark and his Combat Shield to the stealthy Sniper and his Camo Cloak.

Players will also be able to customise their Space Marines, from helm to greaves, with a wide selection of colours, heraldry decals, pauldrons, gauntlets, and more! The Season Pass will grant them even more cosmetics, while new content like missions, enemies, and weapons will be available to all players through regular free updates.

Pre-order four editions today - in digital or retail

Pre-orders are now available through PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Steam, Epic Games Store, and participating retail stores. In addition to the Collector's Edition exclusive to the Focus Store, three Editions are now available for preorder: Standard, Gold, and Ultra Edition.

Holy Emperor ... I don't think I have the mental bandwidth necessary to handle that much detail.

System Name Very old, but all I've got ®
Processor So old, you don't wanna know... Really!
The game looks... amazing. Good to see the devs didn't throw the Relic's legacy, and have kept their accomplishments.

The only concearn is that the game is built around this Primaris advertisement campaign. Would be great to have the older loyalist PA patterns, as the chaos seems to have them.

But also, the protagonist VA... don't get me wrong, this isn't an effort of humiliating, or mocking. But the guy is trying so hard, even excessively hard, that it becomes disturbing. He tries to keep the level and tone of previous voice actor. But the devs would better drop this idea altogether, and let Clive talk the pitch he is able to cover, and later explain it is due to "primaris"/plot change, whatever. They clearly trying to make him sound like another voice actor with different tone. Either hire Mark Strong, or let the guy breathe. This is physiological differences after all.

But that's just my opinion.
