GeIL - Golden Emperor International Ltd. - one of the world's leading PC components & peripheral manufacturers, today announces a new specification: DDR5-9000 CL40-54-54-112 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) optimized for AMD Ryzen 8000G series processors, providing the ultimate system performance for AMD enthusiasts.

Blazing Speed at DDR5-9000 CL40 1.45 V
With the blazing speed of DDR5 9000 MT/s, users can expect more responsive performance in the most demanding applications and games. The impressive specification of DDR5-9000 16 GB x 2 CL40-54-54-112 at 1.45 V is validated with AMD Ryzen 8000G series processors and the ASUS ROG CROSSHAIR X670E GENE motherboard, as shown in the screenshots below.

"We are thrilled to introduce the DDR5-9000 gaming memory, which reflects our dedication to innovation and quality," said Jennifer Huang, the VP of GeIL Memory." This product is designed to meet the high expectations of AMD Ryzen 8000G series users, providing them with the best possible performance and reliability."

DDR5 10200 MT/s with Air Cooling Showcased at Computex 2024
In addition to today's announcement of DDR5-9000 16 GB x 2 CL40 1.45 V, GeIL will showcase DDR5 10200 MT/s at Computex 2024, demonstrating the pinnacle of memory performance. The achievement of DDR5 10200 MT/s may still rely on increased voltages, but it marks a milestone where hardware enthusiasts can easily take advantage of extreme memory performance using heatsinks and air cooling. Hardcore cooling utilities like LN2 are no longer a necessity for achieving DDR5 10000+ MT/s.

Would that 9000mhz memory have an effect on that 780M iGPU to the point that a human being could distinguish a difference?

Yes, increased minimum 1% FPS lows. This can be felt between a 7940HS (limited 15W-22W TDP) laptop with DDR5-5600 and a 7840U (also limited 15W-22W TDP) with LPDDR5-6400/7500. Although the 7940HS can make up for the performance drop simply by defaulting to 35W-54W TDP.

Only AMD? What's wrong if I put those into an Intel mobo?

In theory if you put these into an Intel platform it will try to run in Gear 4 and destroys performance.
Running DDR5-9000 in Gear 2 will require the Intel IMC to run at 2250Mhz (half of the 4500Mhz mem-clock), which the vast mjaority of CPUs cannot do.
Most board will default to Gear 4 above 2000Mhz, which will make the IMC run at 1/4 mem-clock = 1125Mhz instead.

The Desktop Zen4 IMC runs at 1:1 by default, so at the recommended DDR5-6000 it is already running at 3000Mhz.
So even at DDR5-10500 2:1 it is still clocking lower than at 6000 1:1.
The IMC on the APUs always clocked significantly better than the desktop/chiplet Ryzens.
So if that the boards are optimized properly, EXPO-9000 on the APUs are relatively easy.

Is this still the same hynix A-die 2Gb we have nowadays with very strict binning and enough voltage to generate a thunderstorm or are we (finally) having some improvements?
