But it's the opposite for the 5900XT, which is lower clocked 5950X. AMD is just messing up with core naming convention for no reason. Should have been 5950.

Actually, it is a good sign that the *900 tier gets a core-count upgrade.

I don't understand the point of marketing this Ryzen 9 5900XT which is 100 Mhz less efficient than my Ryzen 5950x... Is the design of this CPU that of the Zen 4 or 5, adapted to the AM4 format ?

I who bought for the first time in my life an AMD platform (AM4 X570 + Ryzen 5950x), I need more than 16 cores for my everyday personal use...

I expect AMD to offer me a 24 or 32 core AM4 CPU!!

If I have to change my platform entirely, I might well go back to Intel and its 2A / 1.8A engraving which will arrive soon.

Yeah, I don't get it... AMD is sabotaging itself by encouraging people to park on AM4.
Not really do you know how many people are still on 11th gen and older? LOL this is for the Intel users THAT NEED TO UPGRADE.

They're the last ones that should be buying this, AM5 7000 is getting cheaper and cheaper, makes no sense investing in AM4 if you're starting from scratch, not on a non-3d chip anyway but even the x3d chips are very questionable right now with the prices of zen4.

You don't need X3D parts to play games
on 2k and 4k,

this is a misconception with everyone who doesn't know who the X3D parts are for, they think that at all gaming resolutions you'd see massive jumps. when I try to teach this to the local PC Store Technicians, they'd say I'm a joke..lmao..
