NVIDIA DLSS Coming to More Games, Including Star Wars Outlaws With DLSS 3.5

NVIDIA DLSS 3.5 with Ray Reconstruction maximizes frame rates on GeForce RTX GPUs, and renders more immersive and realistic ray-traced effects and lighting in games using AI. At Computex 2024, we've announced that DLSS 3.5 with Ray Reconstruction will be available in Star Wars Outlaws, launching August 30th. To demonstrate the incredible quality and performance delivered by DLSS 3.5, we're showcasing a new, exclusive trailer from the game. Additionally, Marvel Rivals will launch with our AI-powered, performance boosting DLSS 3 technology, and we've got a new trailer showing it in action in the new, upcoming game.

Upon release, these new games will join an ever-growing list of over 500 games and apps that are enhanced with RTX technologies. Such is the pace of adoption, barely a week goes by without new games integrating NVIDIA DLSS, NVIDIA Reflex and advanced ray-traced effects, ensuring GeForce RTX players receive the definitive experience in their most anticipated titles. In the last month alone, Capes, Die By The Blade, EA SPORTS F1 24, Ghost of Tsushima Director's Cut, Gray Zone Warfare, Homeworld 3, INDIKA, MotoGP 24, Senua's Saga: Hellblade II, Serum, Ships At Sea, Ships That Fight Underground, and Wuthering Waves have all launched with support for DLSS, and Star Citizen introduced support for DLSS 2.

DLSS 3.5 With Ray Reconstruction Coming to Star Wars Outlaws, Further Improving Image Quality On GeForce RTX GPUs
Star Wars Outlaws is launching August 30th, and you can pre-order now on the Ubisoft Store. The highly anticipated upcoming game invites players to experience the Star Wars galaxy like never before, through an original story set between Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back and Star Wars: Return of the Jedi.

As the Galactic Empire relentlessly pursues the final defeat of the Rebel Alliance, the criminal underworld thrives. Fans will play as cunning scoundrel Kay Vess and her loyal companion Nix, as they attempt one of the greatest heists the Outer Rim has ever seen. Seeking the means to start a new life, players will join Kay and Nix as they fight, steal, and outwit their way through the galaxy's crime syndicates and join the galaxy's most wanted.

Previously, we announced that the PC version of Star Wars Outlaws will include support for NVIDIA DLSS 3, NVIDIA Reflex, ray-traced reflections, ray-traced shadows, NVIDIA RTX Direct Illumination (RTXDI), and ray-traced global illumination. Today, we're excited to announce that Star Wars Outlaws on PC has now upgraded to NVIDIA DLSS 3.5 with Ray Reconstruction, further enhancing the fidelity of ray-traced effects.

As part of our collaboration with Massive Entertainment and LucasFilm Games on Star Wars Outlaws, the game's PC version is also being enhanced with NVIDIA RTX Direct Illumination (RTXDI), plus ray-traced reflections, ray-traced shadows, and ray-traced global illumination, taking visuals to the next level.

All GeForce RTX gamers can also activate NVIDIA Reflex in Star Wars Outlaws, reducing system latency. System latency affects the time it takes for actions to occur in-game - the lower your latency, the more responsive a game becomes, and the better the gameplay feels, a must-have for gamers wanting the most responsive experience possible.

Even if you don't have a GeForce RTX PC or laptop, you can still enjoy Star Wars Outlaws by streaming it from the cloud with the same technologies as GeForce RTX 40-Series owners, including DLSS 3.5, Ray Reconstruction, Ray Tracing and Reflex, thanks to NVIDIA GeForce NOW Ultimate.

Star Wars Outlaws is built using Massive Entertainment's incredible Snowdrop Engine, enabling the developers to create a detailed Star Wars experience that beautifully showcases new and iconic locations for you to visit and experience. And thanks to the addition of NVIDIA's RTX technologies, PC players with GeForce RTX GPUs or GeForce NOW accounts will receive the definitive Star Wars Outlaws experience.

Star Wars Outlaws is launching August 27th for Gold and Ultimate Edition owners, followed by a general release on the 30th - pre-order now on the Ubisoft Store.

Good to know outlaws will have it, my lord Jedi Survivor's options at launch were horrendous (particularly perhaps the worst TAA I've ever seen), so there is hope yet for some semblance of expected image quality in Outlaws.

It's always confused me as to why the games that don't ship with DLSS have the worst TAA/FSR implementations, almost like they are trying to sabotage the technology it's so bad.....

Companies that care about such things tend to see the benefit of having DLSS plus an option for people without 20 Series+. Companies that don't care tend to also not care about even the barest of minimums like TAA.

Oh trust me the best option is having everything because having just one that is worse than all other options sucks regardless of it working on more gpu's. I was mostly commenting about how when developers only include FSR it is usually a bad implementation you'd think if that was all they were including they would at least spend enough time to not make it crap.

Is it me or there is no noticeable difference with RT on or off on the Star Wars Outlaws?? Not sure what they were highlighting in the video, but even on 4K, couldn't notice anything better than the default. Plus the graphics looks 10+ years old, what gives??
