What do they mean, a monitor could have incompatibilities with GPU ? 1 year i'm on a 4070ti, meh !

1.Added OLED Anti-Flicker function that can reduce the flickering phenomenon caused by significant fluctuations in the screen refresh rate.
Bug Fixed:
1.Addressing compatibility issues of NV 40 series graphics cards in 2K 240hz.

From Asus' spec page:
Power Consumption : < 38W

From LG's spec page:
Power Consumption (Typ.) 74W

At least in Sweden, Asus offers a three year warranty, but not sure what it covers. No other countries that lists it, shows any warranty info.

As all the other specs are nigh on identical, I would assume its the same panel type they're using.
I will believe that when it is actually tested. One of the reasons I went with Mini LED was power draw and therefore heat production.

Does the new option makes sense for 120 (stable) FPS global (except 2D games i let alone i play/lock all games to 120 FPS max, some exceptions need 90) @240hz ?

VRR Flicker :
ASUS released a firmware update, MCM106, in May 2024 to add a setting called OLED Anti-Flicker. Using it greatly reduces the flicker to the point where you won't notice it, as you can see with it on 'Medium' here and on 'Strong' here. However, using this setting also introduces stutter as the frame rate and the refresh rate don't match up, so you're reducing one issue and introducing another. The results in the review are with OLED Anti-Flicker disabled, but enable it if the VRR flicker bothers you and the stutter doesn't. That said, the best way to avoid any of these issues is to set a frame cap to get a more consistent frame rate.

9.0 PC Gaming

CONS:
  • Distracting VRR flicker.
