After recent troubles, EK is certainly not going anywhere and it came to the Computex 2024 show in force, showing off several new products, including the whole new line of liquid cooling products, the EK Nexe. The brand-new product line is, according to EK, designed from scratch, and unlike standard custom loop products, the critical components of EK Nexe, water blocks and combo units, are injection molded, just like the rest of the AIO products. This should provide the best ratio between performance, design, and price, making the EK Nexe lineup both accessible and quite popular among both consumers and system integrators.

In order to make it as simple and accessible as possible, EK Nexe does not use standard threads and fittings, but rather push-in fittings that lock in place, creating an airtight seal and allowing tubes to rotate freely. The EK Nexe line also uses a modular approach, which means that the GPU water block will be using a universal cooling core or platform specific to certain GPUs and a heatsink that covers the entire PCB. The core will cover entire graphics card and cool both the GPU and the VRM while the heatsink, which is CNC-milled for every GPU model specifically, will handle other critical components on the graphics card PCB. Those two will be joined and offer a design similar to a water block with an acetal top.

The EK Nexe loop will use the pump-reservoir combo unit with D5 pump or the more affordable version of the D5, the DTX. EK was keen to note that the DTX pump is still quite capable and reliable. The combo unit will include two Quick Disconnect (QDC) fittings as well.

In addition to the EK Nexe, EK is also launching the new EK-Pro DFF Unit, where DFF stands for Draining, Flushing, and Filling. The unit can be used to quickly fill, properly maintain, and service liquid-cooled gaming and workstation setups. The unit can clean the cooling loop as well and even conduct a leak test. It can be connected to four containers, one for the new coolant, one for the cleaning solution, another one for the flushing agent, and the last one for the waste, and allows it to run different cycles of pressurizing the loop and finish all the programs. It features a simple touchscreen interface, and can be used with any other liquid cooling solution and not just EK's new Nexe or Pro product lines.

EK had plenty of other current and new products on display, including some interesting collaborations, but we'll get to that a bit later.

Actually that modular custom loop thing looks pretty handy, if it's fool- and leakproof.

I just hope that EK will improve after recent things.

Agreed, looks like a cool gateway for people who want to try their hand in the WC hobby, but don’t want to deal with figuring out all the minutiae and going through tons of reviews, forum posts and guides.
Unfortunately, since this is EK we’re talking about, the price is likely to be unreasonably eye-watering and might erase any potential benefits.

So did they pay their booth attendants in time, or did they threaten to not pay them in 30 days if they didn't show up? For that matter, did Computex ask for payment up front, or did EK weasel the price into a Net 30 agreement so that they can dip and run later? I also wonder if they were ordered not to talk to GN, since GN said they will be stopping by the EK booth to ask more hard questions.

Also, that drain/fill station looks like they're trying to keep up with Alphacool, who released a similar device a little over two years ago or so, and is more compact too.

Nth time, we've seen these and probably the 3rd from ek. Question is are they going to discontinue the nexe line after 6-12 months like all the others.

I bet the connecting tubes are not cheap, think of the money theyt are losing on their stupid expensive normal fittings.

But i guess it is kind of good for noob water cooling users.
