EK, the leading manufacturer of premium liquid cooling gear, is proud to introduce the EK-Quantum Momentum² ROG Maximus Z790 Extreme D-RGB - Plexi. This top-tier Ultrablock-class product, part of EK's renowned Quantum Line, is engineered for the ASUS ROG Maximus Z790 Extreme motherboard to ensure flawless compatibility.

The EK-Quantum Momentum² ROG Maximus Z790 Extreme D-RGB - Plexi is equipped with the award-winning EK-Quantum Velocity² cooling engine, delivering direct cooling to crucial motherboard components, such as the primary M.2 drive. This monoblock also features:
  • Direct connection to Vector² GPU water block and Active Backplate Sets via bypass valves
  • Temperature sensors
  • Liquid flow meter
  • Direct integration with the ROG water-cooling zone
  • ILM Replacement Kit

Advanced Design
For those seeking the pinnacle of high-end liquid cooling technology, the EK-Quantum Momentum² ROG Maximus Z790 Extreme D-RGB - Plexi is the ultimate choice. This outstanding monoblock delivers exceptional cooling performance for a wide array of CPUs, including the 14th Gen, 13th Gen, and 12th Gen Intel Core processors, offering a superior cooling solution. Tailored specifically for the LGA 1700 socket-based ASUS ROG Maximus Z790 Extreme motherboard, this monoblock redefines standards in water-cooling solutions.

Constructed from two key components, the Ultrablock features a massive aluminium heatsink and a high-performance monoblock. The heatsink is meticulously CNC-machined from a solid aluminium block measuring approximately 188 mm x 167.5 mm x 50 mm and connects to the monoblock via thermal pads, facilitating effective cooling. The monoblock itself boasts plenty of advanced features, with a base made of nickel-plated electrolytic copper and a top crafted from high-quality cast acrylic material.

The monoblock ensures seamless integration with the motherboard through a reliable pogo-pin connection to the PCB on the heatsink, eliminating the need for additional cables and reducing setup clutter.

This special edition monoblock advances cooling performance beyond standard solutions. Its sophisticated water block design ensures optimal cooling for the CPU, Voltage Regulation Module (VRM), LAN controller, and primary M.2 drive, promoting maximum stability and performance for these vital components.

Additionally, it includes built-in sensors for temperature and real-time coolant flow measurement, offering valuable data for system monitoring and optimization.

ROG Water-Cooling Zone
The EK-Quantum Momentum² ROG Maximus Z790 Extreme D-RGB - Plexi integrates directly with the ROG water-cooling zone, enabling seamless connectivity and comprehensive parameter monitoring. This integration provides critical information for the most discerning users, allowing complete control over the liquid cooling setup.

Integrated Sensors
Featuring two integrated temperature sensors, the monoblock accurately measures both inlet and outlet temperatures, providing precise temperature differential readings.

Additionally, the integrated flow sensor delivers exact measurements of coolant flow, empowering users to fine-tune pump speeds for the perfect balance of performance and acoustics.

Integrated Bypass Valves for More Loop Possibilities
The monoblock includes four ports, two of which feature integrated bypass valves. This innovative design allows for three different loop configurations, providing increased flexibility and customization for your build.

Approach No. 1 - Standard Setup
With the valves closed, the monoblock operates in a standard configuration, delivering efficient CPU cooling. Removing the valve plugs unlocks two additional configurations for enhanced customization.

Approach No. 2 - GPU Connection Setup
In the second configuration, the monoblock connects directly to the EK-Quantum Vector² GPU water block, allowing coolant to flow from the monoblock to the GPU block and back. This setup is compatible with all EK GPU water blocks, except for the Strix 40 series, which requires additional fittings (2 x 21 mm double rotary offsets plus a regular 90-degree rotary fitting).

Horizontal GPU mount
A horizontal setup with Vector² Active Backplate Sets requires two 90-degree rotary adapters, two 14 mm Male-Female extenders, and four fittings for Vector² GPU water blocks. For the ABP set, no Male-Female extenders are needed, but an additional product, the EK-Quantum Momentum² ROG Maximus Z690/Z790 Extreme I/O Cover - Black, is required.

Vertical GPU mount
A vertical GPU water block setup requires 4x 90-degree rotary adapters, two 7 mm Male-Female extenders, and four fittings for Vector² GPU water blocks. Note that vertical mounting of the ABP set is not supported.

Approach No. 3 - Distribution Plate Setup
The third configuration uses a distribution plate, such as the Hyperion Distroplate, to create a visually striking and unique liquid cooling arrangement.

This setup features a single tube entering the CPU monoblock inlet port, connecting the monoblock to the GPU block through the outlet bypass valve, and then to the distro plate. This configuration supports both vertical and horizontal GPU mounts and is compatible with Vector² Active Backplate Sets in regular orientation, but not with vertically mounted ABP sets.

Hybrid M.2 Cooling
The nickel-plated copper cold plate contacts the heatsink of the primary M.2 SSD, providing hybrid cooling to maximize SSD performance. This design integrates hybrid cooling without additional fittings or complex tubing, streamlining the setup process.

ANIME MATRIX LED DISPLAY Compatibility
The monoblock's aftermarket heatsink accommodates the motherboard's original ANIME MATRIX LED DISPLAY over the I/O shield, preserving its stunning lighting and enhancing the overall aesthetic appeal of your Republic of Gamers motherboard.

D-RGB LED Lighting
The monoblock features vibrant D-RGB LED lighting compatible with ASUS Aura Sync RGB control software.

ILM Replacement Kit
The monoblock includes an ILM replacement kit with a backplate and contact frame to replace the motherboard's stock ILM, enhancing the structural rigidity of the socket, motherboard, and CPU. The kit allows for frame installation while keeping the CPU in the socket, protecting the pins from accidental damage.

EK-Matrix7
As an EK-Matrix7 compatible product, the EK-Quantum Momentum² ROG Maximus Z790 Extreme D-RGB - Plexi adheres to a new standard in liquid cooling. The EK-Matrix7 system manages product height and port distance in 7 mm increments, improving alignment and reducing planning time for loops and tube bending, making the building process easier and more user-friendly.

For precise compatibility matching, we recommend utilizing the EK Cooling Configurator.

Availability and Pricing
Manufactured in Slovenia, Europe, the EK-Quantum Momentum² ROG Maximus Z790 Extreme D-RGB - Plexi is now available for order through the EK Webshop and Partner Reseller Network. The EK-Quantum Momentum² ROG Maximus Z790 Extreme D-RGB - Plexi is priced at €504,12, VAT excluded.

You know the price is going to be delusional² when there's both EK and ROG in the name.
Both Asus and EK are in the press for being shitty right now:
  • Asus under investigation by the FTC for scamming customers, warranty fraud, and refusing to recall broken designs.
  • EK have been dodging liquidation, failing to pay their suppliers and strongarming their staff into contracts that skirt the already-lax US employment law.
The last time EK and ROG collaborated, there was the waterblock corrosion scandal, with some extremely poor design/manufacturing and low-grade metals on an obnoxiously-expensive flagship board - so this partnership was already cursed before all the recent bad press and shitty malpractice at both companies.
