NVIDIA today released the latest version of its GeForce Game Ready drivers. Version 556.12 WHQL comes with day-zero optimization for "The First Descendant." This includes support for ray tracing, DLSS 3.5 Ray Reconstruction, and Reflex. The drivers also add optimal settings for Bodycam, F1 24, Pax Dei, and Soulmask, which can be applied through GeForce Experience, or the NVIDIA App. Among the bugs fixed with this release include an out-of-memory error with "The Last of Us Part 1" when using GeForce 555-series drivers; a game crash with "Halo Infinite" in the game's loading screens; and high/incorrect latency being displayed by "Valorant's" internal statistics server.

I had that 8GB bug for ages now... Speaking of which, this would not happen if we had more VRAM, bug or not.

I cant even play last of us cus of this bug. I cant wait to update and fix it. Cant Nvidia just give us more VRAM... ugh.

LOL, blaming NVIDIA for a shitty game engine that doesn't bother to manage assets correctly because it's a shitty console port... classic.

Yes with current gen consoles having 16GB GDDR6 shared pool for past ~4 years all GPUs should have at least 12GB now. The 8GB cards got to go, or remain for the very low end. Hopefully with RTX 5000 but it's doubtful Nvidia will address this even then.
