But why should I use a bulky 2x8-pin adaptor when a single 6-pin cable would do the job just fine?You can easily get a 2x8 pin to 16 pin adapter for almost every major psu maker. None of my power supplies have a native 12VHPWR or atx 3.0 socket yet all of them down to 750w seasonic GX works fine with my 4090 and all have a 2x8 to 1x16
