"The Philips Evnia 27M2C5200W is every gamer's dream. Its generous, curved screen pulls you into the game, and its ultra fast refresh rate, low input lag, and 0.3 ms MPRT deliver a gaming experience that will definitely blow your hair back." - commented César Acosta, Regional Product Manager for Gaming Monitors/ Philips EVNIA.

Key features
  • Fast VA panel for action-packed gameplay
  • FHD resolution for pitch-perfect resolution, contrast, brightness, and colors
  • 280 Hz refresh rate for buttery smooth motion
  • HDR10 for a visual feast of color and nuance
  • Ergonomic height-adjustable stand for optimal comfort

Super speed, gorgeous images, optimal comfort
Designed with high-speed gaming in mind, the Philips Evnia 27M2C5200W is equipped with a host of features that allow users to experience the full power of their action games. A fast VA panel performs four times faster than a conventional VA panel, delivering crisp images even at the highest speeds, while 0.3 ms MPRT fast response delivers effortlessly smooth gameplay, free from any blurring or smearing. But that's not all. An accelerated 280 Hz refresh rate means that even the fastest sequences are delivered with flawless accuracy, while low input lag ensures that every touch and twitch is executed immediately on-screen for a true advantage in fast-paced competitive games. SmartImage game mode adds even more enjoyment to the gaming experience with a variety of options that adapt the monitor's image mode to the type of game being played, and Smart Crosshair provides more accurate aim in shooting games.

In addition to these gameplay-enhancing features, the Philips Evnia 27M2C5200W is a treat for the eyes. Its 27" curved screen features a 16:9 1920 x 1080 enhanced Full HD format for beautifully realistic images with a pleasant immersive effect. High Dynamic Range 10 further boosts this monitor's visual performance with exceptional brightness, contrast, and color, giving viewers an even richer visual experience, whether they're playing games, watching movies, or editing photographs.

No gamer plays just one round, which is why the Philips Evnia 27M2C5200W includes several wellness features that ensure optimal comfort at all times. The screen can be tilted, swiveled, and height-adjusted according to the user's preference, while features like LowBlue mode and Flicker-free provide easy-on-the-eyes viewing. This monitor cares for the environment, too. Packaged in 100% recyclable material, its housing is Mercury-free and PVC/BFR-free, and it complies with multiple environmental and energy standards including RoHS, CB, TUV/ISO9241-307, CE Mark, and FCC.

Price and availability
The Philips Evnia 27M2C5200W monitor will be available for purchase from July and at an MSRP of € 229,00.

I had an 1800R one for a few months, it wasn't too bad, but the more curved ones don't really appeal to me that much.
However, it sort of makes sense when you go really big, like 49", as that's two displays side by side.

I've got a 1080p LG-equipped Microboard-brand 32" curved, and a LG 1st party 1440p 32" flat, side-by-side (both VA variants).
Only the old curved one doesn't have 'visual artifacts' at the edge of the screen.

I had no idea how important curved was for screens sensitive to off-face 'shifting'.
