Adobe tools get supported to a lesser degree C1 but other often get neglected.
Like the design of the hub, but just looking at it, I'm pretty sure it will be uber $$....especially if Adobe will be supported, which will only be possible if you pay, pay again, and then pay some more :(

I used to really liked their software back in the day, but that was before the cloud-only, recurring subscriptions, they-own-all-of-your-content bullshit started. Now they're just friggin money-grubbin, content-stealing aholes, almost as bad as Ngreediya !

Adobe is way worse than nVidia, atleast nVidia(these days) doesnt sell faulty products unlike Adobe who has crap tonne of issues with their Premier Pro and other softwares. Unfortunately there arent any decent tools for quick organization of photos like Lightroom(I have tried On1, and ACDSee Photo Studio but both have UI that leaves at lot to be desired though both offer perpetual licenses to specific version that were paid for, though nothing beats Helicon and Zerene stacker license), while C1 is does not fit my usage pattern. Pretty sure CM MasterHUB will be expensive but as long as the software is light(unlike their MasterPlus+) and has support for tools other than Lightroom wont mind picking it up as LogiCrap has killed off LoupeDeck +(B&H has listed it discontinued so wont be long before software support is also culled).

$300-400 depending on which version you get, but unlike soooo many other products out there, it is modular and you can expand the base module if you need additional functions later on :)

Is there a reason for a kickstarter? I don't see how they just couldn't put it up for pre-order and achieve the same thing.

Many brands(CM themselves used it for Control Pad before, also in camera industry there are several such examples of established brands from Shimoda, Peak Design, PGYTech, etc... all doing kickstarters for new products) these days are using Kickstarter/indigogo for new product launches/preorder, most likely to judge user interest. Also checked the link Tomshardware had posted for "kickstarter" it take to a page where people can enter email address for "discount" but that in turn just sends an email with survey of few questions inc asking people about expected prices(too cheap, value for money and too expensive).

It's like a Stream Deck, but with add-on twiddly bits for volume dials and stuff.

What's a stream deck?
A button box with a screen behind it that changes to show what each button does

A button holds your pants up
A box is a kind of hedge plant
A screen stops the other patients from seeing you naked
Change wears holes in your pockets.

Thanks. Didn't realize CM used it before. Makes sense to gauge user interest and allows them to potentially go all-in on a product or not.
