If they claim sustained speed of 1500MBps then why didnt they bother with VPG certification? Other than select Prograde, Lexar and Sandisk cards no one seems to be sending their cards for VPG certification(Angelbird was caught lying about their certification so thats another side of marketting).

I was surprised CFA didnt take action against offending cards and they simply allowed to clear the inventory of misleading cards before correctly certified products were launched to replace older ones.
Edit: Here is the article about offending CFa cards and unlike Wise, Exascend, and Pergear Angelbird generally supposed to be a "higher quality product" targetted at video shooters.

I smell corruption and bribes... same old story, time changes, generations change, but old habits don't die... I still haven't met anyone actually using CFa cards in their Sonys... because either they are too small for video work and internal sucks either way and use external recording devices, CF is useless luxury for taking pictures and you are good with with bunch of fast SD cards for the fraction of the price, so go figure...

I haven't scrolled petapixel for a while... man it is so lost... they haven't figured out their audience... I don't give a flying cucumber about US politics, few pages and so much Trump posts, nor phone news there why bother as it is a sloppy useless review(fanboy rant), while Camera gear content looks like a forced act with a lipstick on it, rinse and repeat, it is more of an advertisement, not a review, they treat their audience like dumb people who can't even count...

These cards looks nice!
Hope the prices will be low so it pushing down the older memory card's price
VPG certification?
That worthless certification costs the company money, which YOU will pay for.

I have a ProGrade Digital CFexpress™ 2.0 Type B Memory Card (Gold) 1700 1TB
My card can do this with my USB gen3.2 2×2 card reader:

And it is pretty guud I love it with my Nikon Z8, really lets you goooo burst when you shooting birbs (like 22s burst 20fps with lossless raw)
Now they only selling the PCIe 4.0 version, which is utterly pointless as of now - since none of the cameras I know do more than 650~700MB/s through the camera's card slot

Tell me about your workflow digging through 440 shots of one burst... ? How many thousands of photos you generate after a walk?

With CFb I would cram a nvme via adapter and call it a day... CFa doesn't allow you that, too smoll.

I pull the pics then I go through of the shots I remember as the best.
Meaning if the bird flew closer, got better angle, interesting action
So rarely looking up each shot in 100%.
One walk can yield 1500 pics, the 22s burst is the maximum the card can pull without losing on frames (at 20fps) 3s birst is already rare IMO

Maybe it's a license fee. Plenty of other cards that are all VPG capable don't have it either. 1550MB/s is more than fast enough for even 8K60p 12 bit RAW.
