The NVIDIA app is the essential companion for gamers and creators with NVIDIA GPUs in their PCs and laptops. Our initial beta release in February was the first step in our journey to modernize and unify the NVIDIA Control Panel, GeForce Experience and RTX Experience. A new update, available now in-app and from our website, further enhances the NVIDIA app beta, adding G-SYNC controls, RTX HDR multi-monitor support, driver rollback, and more.

Whether you're a gaming enthusiast or a content creator, the NVIDIA app simplifies the process of keeping your PC updated with the latest GeForce Game Ready and NVIDIA Studio drivers, enables quick discovery and installation of NVIDIA applications like GeForce NOW and NVIDIA Broadcast, allows you to adjust GPU options, record gameplay, monitor real-time statistics via an on-screen display, enhance games with HDR and filters, and so much more.

G-SYNC Controls Added To GPU Control Center
In our previous update, we introduced the Display Settings section, which enables you to modify your display's resolution, refresh rate, and orientation. Today's new update adds G-SYNC controls, and in future updates we'll introduce the remaining features from the NVIDIA Control Panel, such as Surround options, custom resolutions, and multi-monitor setup.

RTX HDR Multi-Monitor Support Arrives
RTX HDR is an AI-powered game filter accessible in games via Alt+Z > Game Filter that seamlessly brings the vibrant world of High Dynamic Range (HDR) to games without HDR. Only 12 of the top 50 most-played GeForce games offer HDR support and, with the RTX HDR filter, you can take full advantage of your HDR-compatible monitor in thousands of SDR games running on DX12, DX11, DX9, and Vulkan, further enhancing your experience.

By installing our new NVIDIA app beta update, and GeForce Game Ready Driver 565.XX WHQL, which launches at 6am PT October 1st, or a newer driver, RTX HDR can now be enabled on systems with multiple displays. For system requirements, setup instructions, and further info, please visit the NVIDIA Consumer Support Knowledge Base.

New Additions From User Feedback
You can send feedback via the button at the top right of the app, helping shape the NVIDIA app. Based on your comments, additional features have been introduced in today's new release.

The Heads Up Display lets you view system statistics, frame rates, and latency information during gameplay and on your desktop. In our new update, you can now change the font color for improved accessibility. It also supports hex color codes to support thousands of colors. This joins the host of other options available under Alt+Z > Statistics > Configure Heads Up Display, enabling you to fine-tune the stats shown and how they're shown.

Via the Graphics tab, users can quickly apply Optimal Settings for games and apps, finding a balance between performance and image quality in seconds. And by scrolling down in the list of app-specific settings, driver options can also be configured on a per-app basis.

With the release of our new NVIDIA app beta update, user sorting and filtering of games and apps now persists. Users can also hide programs and remove manually added programs by clicking the three dots in the upper right corner.

Finally, the NVIDIA app overlay now notifies users if restricted Digital Rights Management (DRM) content prevents ShadowPlay video recording.

Driver Rollback Ready To Roll
NVIDIA app beta now offers the ability to roll back to a driver previously installed via the NVIDIA app. This option will appear at the bottom of the Drivers window once you've updated NVIDIA app, and installed our future drivers.

Next Steps
Your feedback matters, and we appreciate your continued support. In future updates, we'll continue to add the remaining NVIDIA Control Panel options, with the goal of unifying the NVIDIA Control Panel and GeForce Experience's key features in one app, boasting new features and additional enhancements that deliver an even better experience for our users.

Additionally, we intend to migrate all remaining GeForce Experience users to the new NVIDIA app when it exits beta before the end of the year.

Please continue to share your thoughts about NVIDIA app beta via the in-app feedback feature at the top right of the window and let us know what other features you'd like to see incorporated.

Stay tuned for more updates about the NVIDIA app on GeForce.com, and if you haven't already tried the NVIDIA app beta, download it from our website.

Stick lacks basic shadowplay sharing functionality that was available in GFE. I want to trim my clips in the app and share them to youtube from the app. Now I have to download extra software for trimming the video and then upload this manually to youtube. Before this was all built into overlay options in GFE.

It's not as if everyone does not have a video camera in their pocket these days to get around such arbitrary limitations for screen recording.
Many people even do this by default even when screen recording is not restricted.

Yeah Windows has DRM features that block stuff e.g. when watching F1TV I cant even take screenshots, it will show the window, but the actual video content will just be a empty black space.

Have not had a chance to try it on my system yet, I am glad Nvidia is finally updating the old interface as its been out of date for a very long time. May install it this week to give it a try!

Does it still require an account?

GeForce Experience has never made it onto my systems due to that requirement.

No. Nvidia App has not required an account from the start. It's one of it's key selling points compared to GFE.
Well unless you want to participate in giveaways.
And im reasonably certain it will stay this was as the backlash would be swift if they backpedaled now.
