NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang will be leading the keynote address at the coveted 2025 International CES in Las Vegas, which opens on January 7. The keynote address is slated for January 6, 6:30 am PT. There is of course no word from NVIDIA on what to expect, but we have some fairly easy guesswork. NVIDIA's refresh of the GeForce RTX product stack is due, and the company is expected to either debut or expand its next-generation GeForce RTX 50-series "Blackwell" gaming GPU stack, bringing in generational improvements in performance and performance-per-Watt, besides new technology.

The company could also make more announcements related to its "Blackwell" AI GPU lineup, which is expected to ramp through 2025, succeeding the current "Hopper" H100 and H200 series. The company could also tease "Rubin," which it referenced recently at GTC in May, "Rubin" succeeds "Blackwell," and will debut as an AI GPU toward the end of 2025, with a 2026 ramp toward customers. It's unclear if NVIDIA will make gaming GPUs on "Rubin," since GeForce RTX generations tend to have a 2-year cadence, and there was no gaming GPU based on "Hopper."

I can only imagine how happy he is going to be ripping off gamers again, the people that built his company up to what it is now. I also wonder if he will even mention gaming, other than that they are releasing the new "consumer" cards, and what the new record high prices are going to be.

It would make my year if he just comes out on stage wearing a suit completely made of money.
He could build the next factory completely out of dollar-bricks.

Guy looks like a villain in this pic.

I fully expect Nvidia to even launch RTX models as "home AI accelerators", they have already included it in official RTX logo:

So there is literally no need to talk about gaming, a sector that only saw increased revenue because Nvidia spread out AI profit across all sectors so it doesn't look too much like they're relying solely on single hype right now.

Jan 7, man it's another 2 months away. I guess 4090 should be suffice for now, though it's getting hammered by the recent UE5 games as of late

Does anybody actually even care about A.I. at home anymore? It was a flash in the pan and all it ended up being good for is translation and spell/grammar checking.

I know someone in a big corporation, and they are really struggling to find uses for it beyond translation and public facing support bots, and now rising costs are starting to put them off.

Umm, while the 5090 will be faster than the 4090 by about 30%, it will cost about $2000, consume 600W and not really change your gaming experience much. The rest of the Blackwell line-up will be slower than the 4090. Blackwell will be best for users on the 3000 generation or older.

Why are you updating generation to generation?

I really hope you're wrong on the performance. That means the 5080 will be slower than the 4090, and the 4090 is the only card with enough performance for today's games and RT at 4K. It's already bad enough that the memory on the 5080 is still 16GB which is going to seriously hurt the longevity of the card, considering NV will probably raise the price by 20% over the 4080.

Probably because they can, when 4090 owners can afford to drop $1500+ on a gpu i'm sure they can afford $2000. Nvidia gets away with hiking up prices because the "enthusiasts" keep having to buy the latest shiny gpu. I put enthusiasts in quotes as to me theres nothing exciting about graphics cards anymore when nvidia has a near monopoly and gamers have been getting screwed for years with the RTX marketing B.S.
