So the 5070 got pushed back one month already? Previous rumor said it will launch with 5090 and 5080 at CES 2025 in January.
It's wiser for them to milk the early adopters with the faster cards than release the whole lineup at the same time.

I still wonder why they don't do like they did up to 10 series, first the 1080 and 1070 models with the 2nd biggest chip, and if they aren't enough for people, they'll upgrade to the halo card.

5060 in March is an improvement over last gen. IIRC, we waited close to a year for the 4060, probably because there was a major glut of leftover Ampere cards in the wake of the crypto craze, and Nvidia didn't want to compete with its own efforts to sell those off.

AI continues to distort the market, of course, but I'll take any little bit of encouraging news.

After the shenanigans that we were treated to for about 3 generations now, I expect very, very few people are holding their breath.

It seems like the best thing gamers can do is make a list: price, performance, power draw, availability. And hope they're screwed with only one of them.

Edit: One good thing is we don't need to wait 6 months after the 5090/5080 to get the 5060.

And the question and answers about CP2077 are interesting. Why is 4k240p needed and... why can't it (with dlss next version+fg)? See now if you are asking about AW2 with all rt and pt effects on the answer would be unequivocally - NO!

I hope the 5060 will be the real xx60 GPU this time and there will be a 5050 entry level that gamers can afford again.

I give the 5050 a 50/50 chance of happening. Pun intended. :p

Hate to break it to you, but its a 5030 that will masquerade as a 5060. :/

They did with the 4060 Ti though.
Nvidia does that with xx60's. Extra VRAM makes them more attractive to some without having a GPU powerful enough to really use it which would cannibalize workstation and halo models.

Hardly...But it's likely to be able to pass a 16k signal through it's displayport. ;)
16k Half Life maybe, bigger question is can you even get a 16k display and why? 4k is getting close to what the human eye is at a comfortable viewing distance.

Honestly taking up too many slots is just wrong no room for anything else. Might as well make a 16X Cable plug into board run cable to a new whole box just for the video card and run monitor off that.

You will be severely disappointed. Garbage 5060 erm 5070 is still 12GB and said to barely beat 4070 Ti in raster but faster in RTing, as though anyone gives a toss. Having learned nothing from the outrage at low memory counts for Lovelace, they are doubling down with Blackwell

Nah 2999.00 or heck might be 4k since Nvidia does not care about anyone and inflation. I mean the 4090 was 5k in Canada. People bought it and wow I can do 192FPS in 4k with a software A.I. turned on. But without the software DLSS card performed about the same as a 1080 Ti.

5090 could cost $10k and I wouldn't give a rat's a$$. What I'm scared of is having to fork $700+ again for something resembling a mid-range card.

This is also your fault! By "you" I mean people who don't care and keep feeding the greedy Ol' Jensy again and again no matter what price he asks. You're all partly responsible!

1700 $ is too much, skip it. Just prepare to release somewhere Q4 2025 the RDNA 5 - likes Radeon RX 9900 XTX 48 GB VRAM GDRR7 for 1000 $ msrp, I am thinking...

Any chance the 5070 will beat the 4090?
