Audeze, the leading premium headphone manufacturer, is excited to announce the launch of its latest limited edition of their wildly popular Maxwell gaming headset, Maxwell Wasabi Edition, exclusively for Xbox. Known for its superior audio quality and class leading technology, the Maxwell headset now arrives in a vibrant new
colorway featuring an iridescent chameleon-like electroplated finish, offering gamers a new way to show off their style along with Maxwell's superior performance.

The Maxwell Wasabi Edition follows the success of last year's Maxwell Ultraviolet Edition, part of Microsoft's "Shimmer" campaign of limited edition Xbox accessories, which captivated gamers with unique eye-catching designs. This new finish on Maxwell Wasabi features shimmering hues that shift from green to gold, adding a spicy, dazzling aesthetic to Audeze's critically acclaimed gaming headset, which will only be produced one time, in limited quantities.

Designed to enhance the gaming experience both visually and acoustically, the Maxwell Wasabi Edition continues Audeze's legacy of innovation in design and technology. The headset features Audeze's signature planar magnetic drivers, providing an unparalleled audio experience with breathtaking detail and precision for demanding gamers. Whether in the midst of an intense multiplayer battle or exploring immersive game worlds, the Maxwell delivers epic sound that puts gamers at the center of the action.

Audeze Maxwell Wasabi Edition Key Features:
  • Iridescent green/yellow Wasabi finish electroplated ear cups and headband
  • 90 mm planar magnetic drivers, delivering the powerful and precise Audeze sound
  • Ultra-low latency wireless, offering 3X the range of traditional 2.4 GHz connections
  • FILTER A.I. noise-reducing microphone technology for clear communications
  • 80-hour battery life with quick-charge, for up to a full day's gameplay in just 20 minutes
  • Bluetooth 5.3 with LDAC support for high-quality wireless audio
  • Included Dolby Atmos license for Xbox and PC gaming

The Audeze Maxwell Wasabi Edition Wireless Gaming Headset will be available for order in limited quantities starting October 22, 2024 for $329.00 USD.

From the side view, they look like the swiveling casters for an office chair, albeit with a shiny toi-boi skin..:D....:shadedshu:

Few months ago I was looking for a new headset and I've tried those Maxwells on, I remember it was a hard pass for me because of their weight - I felt like there was a brick on my head, the earpads were uncomfortable too. Finaly, I took new gen of Astro A50 and I'm very happy with them.

I usually use my SHP9500 or HD58X with Asgard 2 amp, and both of my headphones are just so dang lightweight and comfy, I won't ever go to anything heavier or less ergonomic. Luckily for us, headphones rarely die, so we are probably set for 10+ years easily still.

They are a tad heavy and not as comfortable as Hifiman Sundaras but they're not too bad either, 4+ hours at a time for me is no problem. The sound quality is excellent for the asking price and the battery life is generous too by today's standards (compared to Logitech anyway). The wireless range is excellent too, much better than my Logitech g535s I use for work which can barely stand me leaving the room sometimes.

That's a valid point. I used the Nova Pro Wireless for over two years before transitioning to the Maxwell 8 months ago, and I did notice that its weight is bad. Recently, I decided to upgrade to the new A50 (2024), and I'm quite pleased with that choice. I had been missing the simultaneous Bluetooth feature, and it's refreshing to finally have a usable microphone!
