I'll never understand why these fancy docks never include USB. The Thinkpad dock from Lenovo has 6 USB ports on it and costs less. You need USB to connect things.

I'll never understand why these fancy docks never include USB. The Thinkpad dock from Lenovo has 6 USB ports on it and costs less. You need USB to connect things.

There is 3 of then there. 1 usb A and 2 USB C. This is so if you need more, you can buy the Belkin(tm) usb hub for only $35 more.

As far as I know, it is a limitation with bandwidth availability with the current chip that is used in these devices. They need to choose between more USB and ports at lower speed or fewer ports at higher speed.
