SilverStone today expanded its FHX line of industrial fans with the FHS140X, a 140 mm model. The series had, until now, included 80 mm and 120 mm models. The FHS series is designed for a wide range of ventilation applications that don't just include computing (PCs, workstations, servers), but also appliances. The fan features dimensions of 140 mm x 140 mm x 38 mm, making it thicker than conventional 140 mm fans. It comes with a grille at the intake given its high RPM.

The impeller of the FHX140X is made of a liquid-crystal polymer (LCP), while the frame is made of PBT. Moving on to its all important mechanical specs, the fan turns between 800 and 3,400 RPM, pushing up to 222.95 CFM of airflow, at a staggering 10 mm H₂O static-pressure, and a maximum noise output of 50 dBA. The fan takes in a standard 4-pin PWM connection, and can draw up to 13.2 W. The company didn't reveal pricing.

Nice to simple wire frame included and given they dont cost anything(I have bought them INR 15-20 each) would like to see most fan makers include one with high speed fans.

Pity no one makes a 120mm fan that's double thick meant as like the rear exhaust case fan and/or radiator fans. Just something designed for more brute-force static pressure.

sf140 has lower noise and better performance at the same rpm, how about this one?

...I'm very tempted to get these for my next 140mm-based radiator setup. Just because I can.

3400 RPM fans are no joke. You could easily cut carrots at full speed. I had a Scythe Typhoon. You can also imagine that it was 3 pin as well so full blast 24/7

Be careful. The way radiators work using these could dump a tremendous amount of heat into your environment.

I guess if you really don't care about noise because you're used to gaming laptop fans, these are a way to get better airflow. Still though, these are most definitely carrot cutters!

Those put the Noctua iPPC fans to shame.

Still, I think replacing my 16 140mm iPPC might get a little pricey...

For anyone wondering, don't hook up a bunch high powered fans like this to a little fan hub. These are 13Watt fans.

120x38s have been around for eons. I have a stack of them lol :D

Their performance is hard to replicate, even at 100cfm. Sometimes you need that extra girth :toast:

They have faster fans on that DELTA site list.

You can't use power headers on the board and some of those will chop off your finger!
Can only imagine what those babies sound like. Tiny jet engines, maybe? Or this?
