Yeah mini HDMI sucks. I've seen mixed results on reddit for unperfect by people who purchased it. Some failing in two months and the shipping to China and dealing with it cost more than the monitor itself or just flat out duds out of the box.

This monitor looks very similar to the ViewSonic VA1655 but with a slightly better panel inside. I have one of the latter; it's a very solid secondary display. I don't really care that it has miniHDMI instead of full-size HDMI though since I always connect it with a USB-C cable to my devices.

250 nits / No dedicated Displayport but USB-C / Windows & MAC support / FullHD / Mini-HDMI + USB-C needed for picture

I decided to not buy any HDMI / Mini-HDMI devices anymore
