Welcome to the first full week of the month of November, which means colder and darker weather for the northern hemisphere, also known as a perfect time to play some games. This week things are a tad slower and this week's major release is a VR version of a famous franchise that takes place inside a metro system. This is followed by some touch typing, slugs made out of metal, roller coasters, loads of ants and finally some post-apocalyptic strategy. As always, this is just a small selection of what launches this coming week.

I had a go at metal slug tactics demo and the gameplay itself is okayish, I had it wishlisted since last year but changed my mind I don’t think it will be a good tactics game

Ah a shame the new Metro game is a VR game. I love the Metro game series and have played all up to Metro Exodus.

But VR is not my thing. So sadly this Metro game will be a pass.

I love the FMS franchise! I never thought the game would get done in a Turn-based tactics way.

There is a remake of it on iOS and play store with with modern remake it’s lost its retro pixel charm.. and it has microtransactions

I agree. I didn't find the demo al that fun. On top of that, while they did put in a commendable effort to recreate that retro charm, I still feel they're out of touch with the originals. It's just not good enough and not fun enough.

A really nice choice of games from smaller studios this week @TheLostSwede

Touch Type Tale gets my vote for blending different genres with innovative mechanics:

I love tactics and pixel art. I'm eager to try out the Metal Slug game, too:

Also, Empire of the Ants has me intrigued and looks great. Maybe that 7900XTX will finally be put to good use:

AAA gaming can kiss my... :D

Empire of Ants looks to fall into the category of games like Stray with elements of other games used to enhance the experience. Will be watching it how users and reviwers like it.

Same here but luckily its on gamepass so I can play it that way.

Metro VR? Ya no thanks.
I'll wait for METRO 4, the continuation from Metro Exodus Non VR.
