BIOSTAR, a leading manufacturer of motherboards, graphics cards, and IPC solutions, is pleased to introduce the MT-N97 industrial computer. The BIOSTAR MT-N97 industrial computer is a compact, fanless powerhouse designed to meet the high demands of modern industrial applications. Tailor-made for system integrators, AIOT development, automation, edge computing, human-machine interfaces (HMI), and digital signage, the MT-N97 combines robust performance with unwavering stability, providing a reliable foundation for critical operations across various sectors.

Equipped with advanced specs that make it an ideal choice for high-performance, industrial-grade applications, the MT-N97 draws power from an Intel Alder Lake N SOC Processor (Intel N97, 4core, up to 3.6 GHz, TDP 12 W). It combines efficient performance with low power consumption, enhancing reliability and cost-effectiveness for continuous operation. The MT-N97's fanless design ensures quiet, noiseless performance, making it suitable for environments where minimal disruption is critical.

Key specifications include support for triple 4K monitor output by 2 HDMI and 1 USB-C ports, enabling flexible, immersive multi-display setups perfect for monitoring and visualization tasks. Dual GbE LAN ports ensure robust network connectivity for uninterrupted data transfer and communication, essential in high-demand settings.

This embedded PC also features a USB-C PD Sink (20 V/5 A) for efficient power delivery and high-speed data transfer, ensuring that devices connected to the MT-N97 perform optimally. Expansion options through M.2 Key M slots enable easy integration of specialized components, including AI accelerator, M.2 SSD…etc, providing customization flexibility. With its versatile storage interfaces such as M.2 and SATA III, the MT-N97 can handle the data-intensive requirements of edge computing, automation, and other industrial applications.

The BIOSTAR MT-N97 industrial computer is purpose-built to meet the needs of diverse industrial users. System integrators benefit from streamlined customer and business data management, while AIOT developers can leverage its M.2 Key M slots for integrating AI accelerators. For automation and edge computing specialists, the MT-N97 supports real-time control and reliable high-speed network communication, which is essential for local data processing and caching. HMI builders appreciate its versatile connectivity for peripherals in POS systems, and digital signage users gain a durable, stable platform with OS compatibility and expansion options.

It's exciting to see someone use the higher performance N97 over the low power N100, but sticking this with DDR4 and GBe instead of DDR5 and 2.5GBe kills it. Guess the N100 boxes with those upgrades are still the better deal.

Lack of 2.5GbE makes this seem like a bad product but for something this small and quiet, internal rummaging of data appears to take priority. These would be excellent for handling containers, domain cache and traffic control. I would want something of that nature to be small, low power/heat/noise and just generally out of the way.
