B&H Photo Video—a Manhattan, NY-based electronics retailer—has leaked out a possible late March launch date for AMD's opening salvo of RDNA 4 graphics cards. Four ASUS Radeon RX 9070 series SKUs are currently visible (via a search) on the shop's webstore—all listings sport a tag stating: "pre-order starts at 09:00 a.m ET, Sunday Mar 23." VideoCardz reckons that the product pages have been freshly updated—changing the previously listed date: January 23. Officially, Team Red has moved its Radeon RX 9070 XT and Radeon RX 9070 (non-XT) launch windows into March, but a specific date was not set.

B&H's listings could contain placeholder information—product launches and opening of pre-orders do not (under normal circumstances) occur over weekends. In this case, potentially on a Sunday. The New York City retailer has prepared very basic product pages for two TUF Gaming cards and two PRIME models—names and SKU codes appear to correspond with previous leaks. Artline, a Ukrainian PC hardware store, opened up an ASUS TUF GAMING Radeon RX 9070 XT OC package. MyGear took similar steps with a PRIME Radeon RX 9070 model.

That date is so far of, what a shame. I really wanted to do comparisons between AMD and nGreedia before buying my RTX card, guess it's team green then.

I mean, we aren't in the US or Western EU. So launch stock will be like 5 cards for our countries at best... you might still have the time to pick. I'm not expecting having my 5090 at least until mid April if not early May.

Meh, when I see stuff like this I think - "when is a leak not a leak, when it was sanctioned by the manufacturer"

I am hoping however thats AMD has an ace up its sleeve, but I wont hold my breath.

AMD's ace seems to have been telling everyone they could how they were going to go cheap and give gamers value. They figured this master plan was so clever they'd catch Nvidia off guard.

Then Jensen took time out of his speech to knock $50 off the pricepoints he was originally going to use for his cards and now poor AMD is caught in a tailspin, unable to figure out what to do. Their whole plan undone by a $50 cut.

And now they're waiting until March, praying for a miracle and Nvidia to have made bad cards.

About the TPU database links... The 9070 and 9070 XT use the same core config? Has this been confirmed, hinted at, or is it placeholder info as well? GPU-L lists 3584 cores for the non-XT.

Sure, but which one? The 5070 isn't coming a lot sooner, either. Besides, I think what we see on the store website is placeholder info.

I don't know, I just won't go for the RTX5070, 12GB VRAM? No way I am screwing myself out of enough VRAM again. Not to mention, it's just an RTX3070Ti on with higher clock speeds and faster memory, that's it.

I guess I will see what the launch prices are on the RTX5080 here in S.A, I think I will just have to bite the bullet, spend a little more this time around and just get it over with, not in the mood for these rumours of supply blah blah, earthquake this, flood that, crypto that, tornado this, tsunami that, plane crash this, shipping cost increase, blah blah, etc. it's a never ending list of bs excuses, I got more...

Probably a store owner that already bought a stack, and decided to use one, or sell to family member while AMD sorts out their "pricing"

I thought "pricing" was determined with manufacturing cost and R&D. Nah, none of that, some of us know it's just price gauging on the backend. nGreedia threw a curveball on AMD's initial launch asking price and stalled the launch. ;)

There is a lot of noise to correct, the customer never wins anymore, only the manufacturer and their intermediaries.

You can't wait 2 months for an allegedly $500 card, so instead you'll wait for 1 month for a $1,000 card that may not even be available, and may be a lot more expensive because of some crafty stock manipulation... Khm... "Supply issues"? I see zero logic in this move, but sure, suit yourself. :)

I never said it's logical.

Just tired of waiting, that's all, and mostly tired of all the noise/events that "miraculously" go wrong at new launches.

Ah ok, fair enough.

I get that. I am, too. But the thing is that if I'm gonna have 500 quid for a GPU in two months, then I'm not gonna have double that in half the time. That would really be "miraculous", wouldn't it?

Not to mention, I refuse to spend that much money on a toy. Even 500 is stretching my limit, it's just not like you can get anything decent below that anymore, unfortunately.

I was fortunate; I sold my RTX3070Ti just in time and put the money into HBAR (Hedera Hashgraph), because usually the crypto markets wake up after Bitcoins Halvening, it is a project that I kept my eye on for some time, the money I put in, grew by 8x, I was expecting 3x at the most.

Anyways, not saying FOMO in, not financial advice etc. these markets can make you rich in a day or broke, I am just telling you why I can afford to buy the better GPU, my initial target was also $500 and though I can get a 5090, I won't, I simply WON'T. This will probably be my last GPU. I am getting old and probably won't outlive this PC, I will get an extended warranty plan and well, meh.

Wow, that's lucky! I wish I had the attention span for doing stocks! Unfortunately I don't. :(

The only company I ever invested in is the one I work for. We're in the middle of an acquisition by another company, so all my shares were paid back at double price... then I spent it all on car repairs a week later.

Fair point. If you can afford it, why not. I probably could as well if I saved up a bit longer. I just don't want to. I've been gaming a lot less, and more with older titles as I'm getting well into the middle of my adult life, so my needs aren't as high as they used to be (if they were ever high, which is debatable). There's still the odd interesting new game every now and then, that's the only reason I want the upgrade anyway.
