Apple Global Revenue Soars to Record High, Services Continue to Shine

Apple is off to a great start in 2025, thanks to a record-breaking fourth quarter. Net revenue soared to a whopping $124.3 billion - the highest ever for the Cupertino giant - with iPhones driving 55.6% of revenue. Macs and iPads, as usual, appear to be a drop in the bucket compared to iPhones, with $8.98 and $8.088 billion in net sales respectively. Services witnessed commendable growth, adding $26.34 billion to Apple's pile.

Of course, this does not mean that the grass is all green for the company. Apple Intelligence witnessed a tumultuous launch, suffering from multiple setbacks and lukewarm reviews. Tim Cook does believe that there is still a lot of innovation on the table for the iPhone, which he revealed in a recent interview. Considering that the company is widely rumored to be preparing a major redesign for the iPhone, along with a brand-new Air/Slim variant, it does appear that this year will turn out to be quite an interesting one for iPhone enthusiasts.

The same cannot be said for the iPad, however. The overhauled M4 iPad Pro with the stunning tandem OLED display failed to move as many units as Apple had hoped, and any further updates to the iPad lineup destined for this year are likely to be internal spec bumps. The MacBook Pro is also expected to receive a major redesign, but that is not expected to take place before 2026, which is when the device is also expected to ship with an OLED display for the first time.

Their revenue growth is essentially flat and negative in real terms for the last couple of years. Similar for net income.

More importantly there don't seem to be any innovations that will change that in the post Jobs environment. Apple will make a lot of money for years to come obv.

They're yesterday's company with regards to growth and should be valued as such.

Been on apple iphones for awhile now, albeit 2nd handers, since was late adopter to cell phones and most family had iphone.

I think when this one reaches end of support, I will giving the competition a try.

How is it possible? Let's say they have a 30% margin, that would imply a gross revenue of 413 billions dollars. That would be 227.15 Billion dollars of Iphones, let's say each is a thousand doublons, that's 227.15 MILLION iphones sold in 3 months?! Oh my god.

Services make 4 times as much as Macs?

They must include a lot of stuff in there that I can't think of offhand.

Apple Music/iCloud/Apple TV/fitness +/Arcade et News in North America. Apple one that bundles everything with a discount. Apple care + is probably included as well. Most iPhone owners have probably some level of subscription, even the 0,99€ sub for iCloud.

Do they stil get 30% if you got netflix trough them?

Should have held off of AI for one extra year, they could have save a bundle

You can't subscribe on the app whether it's on iOS or Android, you have to use the website. They want to avoid any kind of commission :D

They're yesterday's company with regards to growth and should be valued as such.
At least they make s product that does what it says it does, instead of empty promises of a supposed untapped potential that is perpetually almost here. How some companies are valued for nothing but supposed potential is mindblowing.
Look at Tesla with a P/E of 200, continued declines in sales, continued empty promises for 7 years, and an "epic" future which is only a couple years away three years ago. And then they have the nerve to say they aren't doing good, but that epic year is only a couple of years away. What are people buying?! And then if people finally get what they paid for 7 years ago, they will feel like that is new value not value that they already expected?
At least Apple consistently delivers a product, gives straight numbers, and gives a straight outlook.

iPhones driving 55.6% of revenue.

Another proof that people are stupid, sorry to say it bluntly. Not stupid for buying iPhones, but very stupid for replacing the SAME iPhone almost, every year or even every 2 years. Basically you just have a recurring fee to Apple for the same product.
We have a word in my country. Is not stupid the one who ask, is stupid the one who pays.

A lot of people treat their devices very poorly and need to replace it and an other set of people enjoy playing with the new thing.
like I can imagine a good chunk of tpu readers upgrading something about their computer every year just cause.

Might be the best time to do so with the starlink integration coming to certain carriers for iphones. Who knows how long they can boast about their security when melon husk puts his finger in another pie…

From a consumer's perspective, there are other competitors. However, the profits from smartphones primarily flow to two manufacturers: Apple and Samsung.

I was looking at motorola, I text, make phone calls and take pics, very basic needs and use.

Particularly this one ($283 inc tax)

Currently on a 64GB iphone8

Next apple option would be an 128GB SE3 at $734 (inc tax)

I am that guy. I got my first cell phone in 2012 after our first was born. It was an Apple. I have been with them ever since lol. I had a Galaxy to play with once. Had to use google, so the walled garden theory has always irked me because they are all walled gardens. My first was a 4S, and right now I am using a 14 Pro 1TB. Say what you want, but I have many spaces for many things

No. On Android, you can side-load apps from local storage or install from places outside Google Play, such as FDroid or Aptoid. There is no such thing with Apple, and that is a very serious problem for people who believe in real liberty and freedom of choice. In that respect, Apple is a non-starter and always has been.
