TechPowerUp NVCleanstall v1.18.0 Released, Adds NVIDIA App Support

TechPowerUp today released the latest version of TechPowerUp NVCleanstall, our lightweight utility that lets you take control of your NVIDIA GeForce software installation, giving you fine control over which of its components and subcomponents you want installed, many of which the "Custom" option in NVIDIA's installer doesn't expose. It also simplifies the process of keeping your GeForce software up to date. Version 1.18.0 adds full support for NVIDIA App, the new software configuration frontend application for gamers by NVIDIA. NVCleanstall now lets you fetch the latest version of the NVIDIA App, or lets you opt out of its installation altogether. The release also fixes a compatibility issue we've been facing with GeForce Software version 566.36 WHQL and later. Grab NVCleanstall from the link below.

Quick question - does the NVApp when installed through NVCI completely replace/supersedes the old CP or do they both exist for now? Or is it a choice?

Interesting. Where does the app get it's drivers feed? There are 571.96 drivers already available. Well, not officially - they're inside CUDA Toolkit 12.8.

Was there any communication from NV on when they plan to retire the old CP completely, if ever? I assume it’s the plan down the road, but unsure on the timeline. Thanks for the info!

Haven't heard of any specific date, I guess once they consider the NVApp stable enough and feature complete

Interesting coincidence. Today, just hours earlier i checked to see if this program had received and update for the compatibility issue and now it works.
Thank you to W1zzard and everyone who has contributed to it with suggestions etc. Genuinely a must have for Nvidia owners.

Had to comment and say thanks.

This is an amazing tool, especially for blocking auto driver updates. No more disabling wi-fi/ethernet in device manager.

Any plans on a similar implementation for AMD/Intel?

Works well but I noticed that in GPU-Z the latest driver's digital signature is 'Unknown.' Could it have something to do with the EAC workaround?
