Sparkle Launches Arc B580 GUARDIAN 12 GB Graphics Card, Stock Available in UK

Sparkle, a notable Intel GPU board partner, introduced its dual-fan GUARDIAN custom design late last year. The Taiwan-based manufacturer's Arc B570 GUARDIAN 10 GB model launched mid-way through January—on day one, TechPowerUp's W1zzard awarded this particular card with "Highly Recommended" and "Great Value" badges. In a December leak, Sparkle's roadmap revealed Sparkle's plans for an upcoming Arc B580 GUARDIAN 12 GB SKU. A launch window was not denoted, but the new card would seemingly arrive after the early 2025 release of Sparkle's B580 TITAN Luna OC model. VideoCardz and its network of observers have detected a new listing on the official Sparkle website; signalling the B580 GUARDIAN's arrival.

Sparkle's Arc B580 GUARDIAN graphics card seems to be available for purchase in the United Kingdom, at the time of writing. CCL Computers and AWD IT have units in-stock at their respective warehouses, ready for immediate shipping. Both e-tailers have priced their offerings at £289.99 (including VAT), AWD has kindly knocked off £10 from their original demand of £299.99. Overclockers UK has a pre-order listing, coming in at a very reasonable £274.00 (incl. VAT). The Sparkle Arc B580 GUARDIAN 12 GB model conforms to Intel reference specifications, so global costs of ownership are likely sticking close to baseline MSRP.

The 7600 and 4060 come in at 240 and 260 respectively, which means a 15% premium over the 7600 and 6% over the 4060.
For the B580 to be considerable it may not cost any more than the 4060 at the very least.

Regional pricing is strange. Here in China, the 4060 is still between $15 and $30 more than the b580. Makes the choice more difficult. Add in we have the new 7650 GRE for a similar price...

The price of the B580 is good so good a friend of mine that doesn't buy new gpu's actually ordered the Sparkle ARC B850 Titan OC it's only a little more expensive than Intel's own price here.

All except the Luna model is in the stock here so it looks really good I can understand the mark up of the Luna model since it's white pcb and shroud.

My friend want me to come over to Intel but I am waiting on AMD to release their RX 9070 XT and hopefully buy a Sapphire model so I can be happy.

340 euros is ridiculously expensive and very DOA once you look at 4060 and especially 7600 prices.
Where I live the 7600 is 245EUR and the B580 is 320EUR. 30% premium is insane.
At that price it's encroaching on the 7600XT at 360EUR and even the 6750XT at 380 EUR.
Neither of these cards are good value but I'd still buy them over the B580.

Honestly I've said it many times, Intel seems content on being the oddball GPU manufacturer getting no significant market share.
In US the value is "ok" to "good", but outside of that it feels like they're only selling because they feel they have to offer the products worldwide.

My main gripe with the B580 is poor performance with a weaker CPU and very inconsistent performance with older and/or more niche games.
I can't recommend a B580 unless I know for sure someone has a good CPU and is not planning on playing older games.
Which is a lot of info I need to get which is typically not provided with people needing to ask.

I'm of the opinion that 8GB is fine until 300 euros or so, afterwards it's starting to be a problem to me.
The 12GB of the B580 won't save it because performance typically starts to suffer in games that need that amount of VRAM in the first place.
Aside from that, lowering some settings will typically allow you to cruise with 8GB cards, just don't enable 4k textures.

And let me be clear, the 7600XT is awful, but if I had to buy a B580 for 320 or a 7600XT for 360 I'd buy the B580 because I like to mess around with these things.
But if someone else asked me I'd steer them to the 7600XT. Begrudgingly.

If the B580 is like 280EUR I'd start to take it into consideration. Small premium over the 7600 but not too much and notably cheaper than the 4060.

When brand-new RTX 4060s off Amazon come in at under £265, have none of those problems, and have DLSS there is no world in which B580 at over £270 from boutique computer stores is a compelling argument. None.

If Intel is willing to price B580 at under the psychological £250 then they may have something. So far they have not been willing to do so.

Personally I wouldn't recommend a 4060 series card for even to my worst enemy. The price/performance is just one of the worst in years.

here you can get a 4060 for 300 euros, i don't see how this is a bad price/performance card.
If the argument is again the gen on gen improvement, why should someone upgrading from a 1060 care about that at all?
if any of your friends wants to upgrade a 60 class card every generation, the problem is not the card, it's with your friend/enemy

Where I am, the 4060 is MORE than the B580.
