1060g Ventus vs 1300g Galax is very telling - no wonder the fans run like a vacuum cleaner.

I had a msi radeon 6800 z trio. Insanely loud. I was forced to sell it after less than 3 months. The afterburner argument is non valid. At 40 percent fan curve with the proper w 11 amd gpu driver the card was insanely loud.

The problem are the cheap build quality, no cooler weight and high speedd 3000 rpm fans.

Galax shows how it is done or poworcolor 7800xt hellhound. These cards are the gold standard

Did MSI tell you where? It's $910 at MC. Your performance per MSRP should reflect retail pricing not made up manufacturer pricing.
I understand that reading is teh hard, but come on:

Even the conclusion says:
I've plotted various alternative price points in our price/performance charts, reaching up to $1100, which, according to some early postings might end up being a realistic price point. We'll know more tomorrow, when sales go up.

I was on my phone and didn't see the whole thing. My question still stands, where does it retail for $750?

This entire 50 series is a shambles.

Im beyond convinced Nvidia spent no time at all on it. Its balls deep in AI and slapped together the 50 series just for the lols more or less. It advances nothing and is just giving scalpers another opportunity, even tho there is nothing new being sold.

I look forward to jacket man telling Ada buyers 'its safe to upgrade' in his 2027 reveal. Oh, and pinky swear we stopped the melting this time for realzies.

Weird that MSI cheaped out on the cooler, I have a Ventus 3060 ti gddr6X and it barely goes above 65°C on full load and it is practically inaudible so it is not like they don't know how to design a good one...

Why does the TPU review seem to differ so much from Hardware Unboxed with regards to it equaling the 7900XTX?

Interesting, the review of the Galax's model doesn't have the "alternative" price points.

wow. if the rumors of upcoming AMD cards are true, this is 15-20% faster in raster than 9070XT, and even more using RT. and AMD won't even have the VRAM advantage this time.
I'm not sure how low AMD needs to go with prices if they want to sell any measurable amounts

I take issue with the way TPU chooses its prices for the performance-per-dollar section of this review. The description of the methodology for obtaining market prices doesn't seem to match the actual price chosen for the charts. In particular, I don't think either the 5080 or the 5090 are obtainable at MSRP on Newegg, nor do I think they're obtainable at MRSP on eBay.

Only when they are on sale...

They must have just added the sale price, because yesterday it was 899.99. I wonder how many they have.. but for the majority the AIB's are still very high compared to MSRP. I really hope no one buys these cards at these prices.. lol

Glad you received all the stock, when can we start buying?

So you're getting something with 4080 level performance but it now costs 750 instead of the 940 the 4080 launched at 2.5 years ago. It's kind of progress I guess... Well it will be when these are actually available for MSRP in another 3 months or so...

Now no one will complain about the fake MSRP and the price but once the 9070XT comes out at $750 people will lose their shit.

Congratulation.

Techpowerup became an official Nvidia fanboy at benchmark.

Hardware unboxed and other reviews shows 7900 xtx fight with 5080 equal or depends on the game.

But if it comes to techpowerup it totally nvidia fanboy results.

With the same Processor :D

Time to join to the bullshido websites
