One place DLSS and such really make sense is laptops.

You have these ridiculously high res/ppi screens with these gimped/throttled power and thermal limited GPUs to drive those high resolutions.

I'd love it if I can get a 5070 laptop with a basic ass 1080p display for a reasonable summof money but more and more laptops just throw a 2k or 4k screen on everything and call it a day.

Wait, no 1920x1080 laptops?? At least this resolution is realistic and perfect for gaming and usage.
2560x1600 is already too big to play native inthe latest games, considering also the amount of VRAM those mobile GPUs have.

And to be honest, there are no other alternatives to gaming laptops. We need to see a comparison (if exists, or available) between those laptops with nVidia GPUs and the ones from Intel and AMD... Are there any actually??

I have to agree -- a decent 1080p panel would pair nicely with a 5070 or higher class GPU and almost never need DLSS. You'd be able to max most games natively and with a 15" 1080p panel, a higher res screen wouldn't make much if any noticeable difference (at least not in gaming -- in productivity, it would be a different story).

Only problem I have is, most laptop OEMs now put bottom of the barrel garbage IPS displays for their 1080p option that suffer from terrible backlight bleed, poor colour uniformity, ghosting and bad g2g response times -- and worse still, they don't offer any 1080p OLED panels (which definitely exist and are offered by ASUS in their non-gaming Zenbooks all the time). I don't want a 4K OLED panel, but I want the same calibre of OLED panel with a 1080p resolution for gaming.
