You give and you take. That's how it goes.

Or you get bored. Or you get fired. Whichever.

The point is: Satire.
I had satire in my post :)

It was.. I took yours wrong.. sorry :)

Normally I am not a jerk, but that time I was.. my bad :toast:
And when I'm talking about people's literal purchases they own (rather than the market as a whole) I actually am kidding...I always hope people are enjoying what they have even if it's a potato.
I try to keep that separate from how I view the market and people prepping for the future, as everyone has to buy something sometime and there's always a better thing in some way or another.

When I explain that though, it kinda ruins it. I guess sometimes you have to so people don't get worked up. I know you get it, that's why it's fun.
But sometimes people don't understand the difference in irony vs just being cruel, hence why the explanation.

Irony is clever, it is to make people think; maybe laugh; maybe get a little mad thinking about how none of us can be everything all at the same time. Choices create irony.
Being cruel is different, and there-in lies the differences between intelligent and other people. I like to think we're both ironic people.

Don't worry, I know you're a good guy. If we didn't give each other a little shit, then we wouldn't be a community. :lovetpu:

As much as MSRP pricing sounds redundant and wrong...
The guy on Twitter said it, so it must be true. Right? :pimp:

You know... I wouldn't really be all that upset if this guy ends up having a history of being wrong.
After all, he's the AMD guy that quashed the XT 32GB rumors

Like I say, there's 'wrong' and then there's "we don't talk about unannounced products and will refer to them as never existing or never potentially existing especially if semantic naming".

One is an opinion of how to interpret the potential final outcome, the other is a real job requirement. Right now the man trying to sell *these* cards...not the next one.
You *never* play that hand, or people won't buy current, especially at initial higher pricing. Would people buy a 16GB 5080 if they *knew* a 24GB model was coming? Ofc course rational people wouldn't.

It'll be one of those things where it'll come out as a 9080 and he'll say "I said there was no 9070 xtx 32G"....Potentially. Because, you know...That's how it goes. :p

I really do hope there is a 'whatever-the-hell-he-called-it' edition, because I would probably buy that for the good sportsmanship alone.

Sorry, I missed the $1750 (PNY) - $2000+ (anything not a POS) 9070 xts competing with the typical 5080 pricing. Can't find it. Must be hiding on the back-end of forever.

If that is too difficult, because, you know, it doesn't exist, perhaps something comparable to a $1200-1500 5070ti.

Nope? How about a...5070 oh wait that's a ridiculous failure....Sorry, I just can't find a comp. Only AMD cards that sold out around the MSRP.

Link plox?

We only get about 3.5 % of our milk from the US. The average milk price in Canada isn't $8. Four litres of milk cost between $6.61 and $6.64 in the last 6 months. That works out to about USD 4.38 per gallon. As for our higher cost milk, it isn't because of tariffs; it's due to supply management.
In Moncton and Charlottetown in June of last year a gallon of milk was around $8.34. Not completely equal because 4 liters is a bit more than a gallon. Region effects prices significantly with milk in Canada.

But the real question is...Does it come in a bag?

(Honestly, I'm curious.)

You are not the only ones, seems like dumbdumbs at AMD have followed nGreedia's footsteps here in India. Base models of 9070 are selling for $800 and 9070XT starting at $890.

Here in India 1Liter of buffalo milk costs around INR65 which translates to ~US$ .75 so 1 US Gallon would cost less than US$ 3 here in India. Also buying a gallon of milk is wasteful.

If you're a single person and only use a pint a week, sure. A medium household can consume more than a gallon in a single day. In that case, buying less than a gallon is wasteful (money and packaging).

Nah, it's still wasteful, why the hell are they consuming so much milk, tell them to drink water.

I know it's OT, and I apologize, but thank you for sharing that (and respect your opinion/view of quantity). I think it's actually interesting to a lot of us not in India.

BTW: Favorite available (masala) cha? I have to know.

I mean, I don’t think anyone who was paying attention is particularly surprised that the launch is plagues with questionable pricing practices. What will be interesting to see is how well (or poorly) things will go, say, 6 months from now. Will the supply-demand even out and sane-ish pricing will be possible? Or will the cards become even more unobtainable? We’ll see. For both players. I am not optimistic.

My 15 year old makes a meal when he gets home from after school workouts, eats dinner an hour or two later, and then cooks up a steak or slab of chicken breast an hour or two after that.

A gallon of milk between him and his brother is gone in a few hours if there's chocolate syrup or cake to help it go down. Family of 5 we do about 2-3 gallons a week easy.

They should just distribute thru Walmart given they have more locations than Best Buy and Micro Center by a long shot and make it in store pick up only 1 per customer and a valid ID so people can't skirt the system and double down and scalp multiple cards. I mean I guess you're not going to prevent 1 person scalping a card, but its far less problematic than 1 bot scalping thousands in 4 seconds online.
