Definitely self made problem.45? I feel like that was too much. With 15 total RX 6000 GPU models around (from the RX 6300 to the RX 6950 XT), that would mean an average of three different variants per GPU model. Ridiculous.
Falling from building? They are getting what they asked for in Nvidia's hands.

It's not much of a loss considering MSI made absolutely terrible cards by reusing nvidia coolers and not even checking gaps correctly. It would then look bad on AMD when they had nothing to do with it. If anything, good riddance and we will actually see decent cards from all vendors this time around. It's a major loss for AMD.
I think Gigabyte and ASUS are the only two remaining who make both AMD and Nvidia graphics cards. I wonder who could be pressuring them...

I don’t think this is a terrible move. Clearly the vast majority of their sales is coming from nVidia, and for any AIB to have to spend R&D money, it needs to pay off. It doesn’t sound like they’ll be missed much from the Radeon crowd anyways.

We just need some XOC models now but I guess we'll have to wait till next gen
MSI had a bias against AMD before that. They've NEVER proposed an equivalent to their flagship Intel ITX board on AMD. The RX 6000 series never had a suprim. It's a continuation of that trend

I was specifically answering to the claim that MSI started to ignore AMD after the death of the CEO in 2020, I never implied that it was always the caseFactually incorrect. As close as the Radeon 290x generation MSI had equivalent/superior products for AMD and Nvidia.

I agree. They put zero effort into custom design. Absolutely awful cards. Their loss. It's not much of a loss considering MSI made absolutely terrible cards by reusing nvidia coolers and not even checking gaps correctly. It would then look bad on AMD when they had nothing to do with it.
Nothing weird. AMD does not want to sell silicon to MSI as they are not bothered to put genuine effort into some products such as GPUs and handhelds. And nothing of value was lost. MSI branded AMD cards were crap. Their 7000 series cards just reused the 6000 series coolers. Something weird is going on with MSI and AMD anyway. The MSI Claw solidified that.

It's crazy that you are implying that AMD sales aren't covering the minimal R&D costs associated with adapting their designs to AMD GPUs, most of that cost is already sunk in their Nvidia cards to begin with. The amount attributable to AMD adaptations is likely miniscule.
Every other board partner doesn't seem to have a problem and it's not like MSI has stated that it's unprofitable.

MSI is the largest OEM PC component manufacturer on the planet. Not a good look to Dell, Lenovo, HP type companies when you lose them. Not really, the MSI cards were not well liked for good reason. I don't see it as a major loss for the end consumer at all unless more companies leave.
MSI AMD GPU's were so shitty there was no point for AMD to sell them any chips, MSI made them look bad too many times.AMD Marketing Department: “Our GPUs are so shitty even MSI won’t sell them!”.
Citation needed.MSI is the largest OEM PC component manufacturer on the planet.
