Lenovo Announces Hybrid AI Advantage with NVIDIA Blackwell Support

Today, at NVIDIA GTC, Lenovo unveiled new Lenovo Hybrid AI Advantage with NVIDIA solutions designed to accelerate AI adoption and boost business productivity by fast-tracking agentic AI that can reason, plan and take action to reach goals faster. The validated, full-stack AI solutions enable enterprises to quickly build and deploy AI agents for a broad range of high-demand use cases, increasing productivity, agility and trust while accelerating the next wave of AI reasoning for the new era of agentic AI.

New global IDC research commissioned by Lenovo reveals that ROI remains the greatest AI adoption barrier, despite a three-fold spend increase. AI agents are revolutionizing enterprise workflows and lowering barriers to ROI by supporting employees with complex problem-solving, coding, and multistep planning that drives speed, innovation and productivity. How the hell is AI an "investment"? At best it's a cost-cutting measure, there's inherently a point of diminishing returns.

How the hell is AI an "investment"? At best it's a cost-cutting measure, there's inherently a point of diminishing returns.

Considered the ultimate long-term goal of AI is to replace the workforce itself, this charade will go on for a while. So yes, it's an investment.

Why is it that that companies like Lenovo are still pushing Intel so hard? I could be 100% wrong about this, as I am only aware of the performance side of things, but if you go on phoronix and look at reviews of server chips, it's basically the case that AMD Eypc wipes the floor with Intel, so I don't understand why it still seems like the majoroty of servers, workstations, etc are all still Intel? As an "enthusiastic" I guess I assume that performance should dictate all (AMD is also cheaper generally speaking, so I would assume that would be the next consideration), but obviously that isn't the case....what's going on here?

Availability and cost of the parts, iirc, Xeon 6 is made by Intel itself. EPYC is often extremely expensive as AMD relies on TSMC for supply. Their chips also retain certain distinct advantages in certain niche applications.

Yeah, that's what I said. AI doesn't actually improve the valuation of a company, it just replaces workers. It's a cost-cutting measure, not an investment, and there's a point where pouring money into it stops making sense.
