I thought about complaining about this, too, but in which way would you change the BIOS? Temperatures are ultra-low, noise levels are ultra-low, actually no need for a dual BIOS
I'm not sure. I bought my Powercolor 7800xt hellhound because it's quiet. Paid 100€ extra - surplus charge for a 600€ card. I think the hellhound purpose is to be quiet. the loudest part of my computer is my 7800xt hellhound as of now. Except my two studio monitors for "audio".
I assume a dual bios is good for those "kids" who flash something and than the card does not boot. So you can than just switch and use the other bios for a fallback. (never tried yet)
Anyone who wants a cheaper louder card - there are plenty of 40dba cards - go for it. e.g msi radeon 6800 z trio is a very good example for that.
build quality is much better according to the provided pictures. Counterpart of screws are in metall. Cheap garbage of other card (not this card) I criticised last time - counterpart for screws molded in plastic (which some guys did not understand or comprehend in my point of view).
Then you can buy literally anything and worst case scenario press two buttons in your software so it runs slightly more conservative wattage numbers and doesn't impact your ears.
That did not work with the MSI radeon 6800 z trio with windows 11 pro 23h2. at 30% (well if you are friendly you can change it to 35%) of the fan curve according to the windows amd gpu driver the card was unbearable for myself. Anyway 70% - (or lets be friendly 65%) of the fan curve of the MSI radeon 6800 z trio can not be used. I bought the card with my money. This was a card which was fresh released quite late. I sold it after 3 months.
Buy that card MSI radeon 6800 z trio, buy the 7800xt hellhound and compare.
Part of the flaw are those 3000 or 3200 rpm fans.
edit: fixed typo
