Corsair is excited to announce upgraded HX1200i and HX1500i Series fully modular, low-noise power supplies for 2025. These powerful PSUs are Cybenetics Platinum-certified for up to 91% efficiency, delivering clean, reliable power. They now feature updated cables with a debossed design and low-profile cable combs for easy cable management and a sleek appearance. In addition, HXi Series power supplies now include two 12V-2x6 GPU power cables with a new dual-color connector that provides visual confirmation of a secure connection, offering additional peace of mind for PC builders. The HXi Series is built for high-end PCs using the latest, most powerful GPUs, including NVIDIA RTX 50 series and AMD 9070 series graphics cards.

Corsair HXi power supplies are ATX 3.1 certified and PCIe 5.1 compliant, supporting the latest power standards with high reliability and efficiency. They are Modern Standby compatible for extremely fast wake-from-sleep times and excellent low-load efficiency. A resonant LLC topology with DC-to-DC conversion provides clean, consistent power. A 10-year warranty ensures these PSUs will last through several upgrade cycles, delivering reliable power to even the most ambitious builds for years to come.

The updated HXi Series builds on the legacy of the legendary AXi Series, offering full digital control through the powerful Corsair iCUE software. Users can create custom fan curves, monitor power settings, and toggle between single and multi-rail overcurrent protection (OCP) on the fly. This feature is exclusive to Corsair iCUE-enabled power supplies, providing robust control from a convenient desktop app.

These power supplies feature premium components throughout, delivering reliable operation with low noise levels even under heavy workloads. They include 100% Japanese 105°C electrolytic capacitors for unwavering power delivery and long-term durability. A 140 mm fluid dynamic bearing (FDB) fan provides quiet, long-lasting performance, while Zero RPM Fan Mode allows the cooling fan to switch off entirely for near-silent operation.

Wide Compatibility
HXi Series power supplies are designed to power high-end builds with powerful CPUs and GPUs, and feature ample power along with all the necessary connections and cables. They include a 12V-2x6 cable for use with the NVIDIA RTX 5090, 5080, 5070 Ti, 5070 GPUs as well as the Sapphire Nitro+ Radeon RX 9070 XT. Abundant PCIe cables ensure reliable operation with the rest of the AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT and RX 9070 lineup as well. Both the HX1200i and HX1500i also offer dual 12VEPS cables to power high-end CPUs including the AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D and 9950X3D, and the Intel Core Ultra lineup including the Core Ultra 9 285K.

Meh, I thought they would introduce native 12V-2x6 ports like they did with the RMe series

My wait was for nothing, will just stick to my current PSU, I requested a couple of 12V-2x6 cables and they did sent them for free, so there is that. They have great support and warranty, I can't complain much.

2x 8-Pin to 12V-2x6 is safer, good move by Corsair.

Well, you are right but what's the point of the upgrade? The previous model will be sufficient I guess.

Unfortunately this comes with 12V-2x6 to only 2x 8-pin connectors, which is really bad. While 8-pin can be pushed to 300W relatively safely, it's double the 150W spec. It should use 3 or 4 8-pin. But Corsair wanted to stick with the lame ribbon style connectors, which wouldn't work with more 8-pins attached.

It will still feed the same wattage through way smaller pins on the other end, so it doesn't matter how many regular 8-Pins you use. Also the 2x 8-Pin are wired for only 6, so it's basically 2x 6-Pin to 12V-2x6.

6-Pin can handle well over 300 Watts by that logic.

Exactly.

I think they learned their lesson when they saw native 12VHPWR cables melt on PSU end and decided that using split 8-pins is safer for their RMA rates.

The game of 12VHPWR hot potato continues.
