Reflecting a level of top-notch functionality and life-style aesthetics, ASUS has today released the new VENTO TA-B1 Series Chassis. The TA-B1 is compliant with Intel's Thermally Advantaged Chassis (TAC) standard that promises superb thermal efficiency while minimizing acoustic noise levels generated from the cooling fan running at higher speeds. In addition, the aesthetically clean design brings in a higher level of taste and life-aesthetics.

TAC Compliance for Excellent Thermal Efficiency
The TA-B1 meets the Thermally Advanced Chassis (TAC) standard that provides a perfect mechanical fit and functional compatibility to properly support system operations. The CAG 1.1 side panel generates smooth airflow to lower CPU and video card temperatures; and the adjustable air-duct ensures airtight contact with the CPU to efficiently funnel cool air towards the CPU. Additionally, the unique rear venting holes enhances ventilation around the add-on cards. This promised thermal efficiency enables long and continuous operations for the most powerful processing platforms and increases overall system performance and stability.

Stylish Design for Modern Sophistication
As technology gradually integrates with daily life, we look for things beyond mere functionality in all our devices. The TA-B1's drive bays and front input/output ports are discretely covered for a simple and elegant outlook, while the blue LED power button and hard drive indicator presents the very best in minimalistic style. As the philosopher, George Santayana once said in The Sense of Beauty, "Beauty is pleasure regarded as quality of a thing." The aesthetically clean design of the TA-B1 truly enhances the level of taste and desire of life-aesthetics.

Considerate Design for Hassle-free Installation
The unique installation design offers users a hassle-free environment in which to install or maintain their computers without the need to take special precautions. For example, the folded metal edges protect fingers from scrapes and cuts, the spring-operated optical drive door allows quick access to optical devices; and cleverly located USB ports avoid mutual interference when multiple USB devices are connected. Another considerate design feature comes in the way of the dust filter, which is contained within the CPU air-duct to keep the interior of the casing clean. All of these designs help make the TA-B1 a hassle-free and easy DIY installation chassis.

Why this is news? Because it's ASUS? I mean, that looks like every other $12 crappy generic Chinese aluminum case I've ever seen. Of coruse, ASUS will charge $120 for it, at least, because of the "Stylish Design for Modern Sophistication" and that "CPU air duct" is worth at least like $80...no scratch that, its worth $100! Yeah, $100! It's ASUS after all.

Injury proof might come back to haunt them as false advertising when someone's falls of a desk, hurts them, and they sue.

Injury proof probably refers to no sharp corners or padded corners and such so you dont scratch, cut, rip or tear your hands or anything like that while working on the case. I liked the original Vento Case and Asus got high marks for it ( A kick ass in Maximum PC) This tails away from the original look of the case but I do see a number of improvements. Of course, it shouldnt be 150 bucks but more less 100. Worth it if you ask me.
