Specs:
NOT THE POINT!!!
Lian-Li PC-61 case
Intel E6600 - mildly overclocked to 2.7ghz
Enzotech CPU Cooler
ASUS P5K-E motherboard
2Gb OCZ PC-6500
XFX nVidia 8600 GT video card with Zalman cooler
WD 250Gb 7200 rpm SATA hard drive
ASUS CD/DVD burner w/LightScribe
Ultra X3 600W power supply
Mods:
Cut holes in rear support panel and MB tray for cable managment. Cut fingers on aforementioned holes while applying edge molding which is supposed to prevent the cutting of fingers... damnit!
Low specs and stock coolers are because this rig was built for my father primarily as non-graphics intense home office type of system. The CPU, memory, hard drive, and DVD drive were all parts I had left over from other builds so all this really cost me was a MB, case, power supply, and video card. He doesn't play games, but he may indulge in the occasional Star Trek themed software from time to time so I at least wanted the system to be able to handle games with mid-range graphics settings. Before I ship it off to him I decided to put a couple of hours into cable managment to see if I can get one up on TKPenalty and SladeSurfer.
