Cooler Master Debuts Three New Huge Coolers

Cooler Master impressed many at CES with three of the largest coolers to hit mass production soon. I'll start with the V12 cooler made of 8 heatpipes and cooled by two 120mm fans. Next is the V10 which consists of two 120mm fans, one mounted vertically and the other horizontally. The horizontal fan is located above the DIMM-slots and will cool the ram through the fins of the cooler later. His little brother, the V8 just like the car engines has a slightly different design that the V12, with only one 120mm fan located in the middle of the cooler. Other specs are still to come.

Were do the supports for the v12 bolt on? jeez,they are some big air coolers.If you want cooling that good,just use H2O.

Err... yeah, the heatsink comes with an anchor, it's called 'the rest of the computer'. The hard part is figuring out how to mount the computer onto the heatsink without breaking the heatsink

I think it's probably made for desktop cases only, or else, will only not kill everything within a 1 mile radius, if your PC is lying horizontally.
Hell, if they don't provide a backplate for all three of those, and make special mounting hardware, similar to waterblocks, I dunno how they're going to be able to mount them properly.

Well, FYI, these are only prototypes as yet.
The V10 is meant to work as a memory cooler as well, as the sticky outy bit goes over your RAM and it has a fan ontop of it that blows downwards.
They should launch under the new Storm brand of gaming accessories, if they're all made, as the V12 aparently isn't any better than the V8 in terms of cooling performance.

Yeah, the V12 doesn't look like it would add any real performance on to the cooling over the V8. The push-pull fan system probably doesn't add more air movement anyhow. The second fan wouldn't be pulling an awful lot of cool air, even with those side openings in the middle of the heatsink.
The V10 just looks way too strange, but really, it might be the most effective, since it cools two things at once, and with well placed VRMs, might be effective in cooling those too.
The V8 probably would be the best deal, it's probably going to get good performance, without breaking the bank, or the motherboard.

I like the design of the v8/v12,they're actually 4/5 seperate heat exchangers,held in shape by the heatpipes.I wonder if thats better than the single large variety like the tuniq tower/thermalright designs?

that ashit is rediculous not only would that not fit in my full tower casre it would snap the motherboard i i did manage to fit it id have to tie twine around it and suspend it from the top of my case.

Complete over-kill - I guess if you want to go down the extreme cooling route without going water or TEC then this is the next best thing. They look bigger than a baby's head!

The Gemini looks refined compared to these monsters. You do have a valid point, hey if they do the job and do it very well whilst being almost inaudible then I won't have a beef with these.

V8 looks rather sexy and will propably perform well with not so silent fan. Don't think some 1000rpm one will have enough airflow to pull trough 2 layers of fins and pysh trough 2 as well.
