Club 3D Releases New GeForce 8800 GT 512MB GDDR3 with Radial Heatpipe Cooling

Club 3D the European graphic card specialist, annouced today a new high-end model Club 3D 8800GT 512MB (CGNX-G882DDF) based on the NVIDIA G92 chipset with a special radial heatpipe cooling solution. This cooling system is more effective than the original stock cooling, which results in lower noise and better core temps. Other that that, the card ships with default 600/1800MHz core/memory clock speeds.

Looked at this a couple days back and wasn't sure if that is a 3-phase design?

Anyways, there are absolutely zero (0) Club3D 8800GTs here, I've had an order for one 2 months now and none has come. So it doesn't really help for them to bring out and improved model when the basic model isn't even available.

That being said, I wouldn't mind having this, if it's 3-phase thingy as Palit version isn't available either yet.

are memory heatsinks on 8800 recommended? because I see that many don't have them and many complain about memory overheat...

The 8800GT is like a Chevy engine. Once they make one that's good, they try to put it into every car (PC/Configuration) possible, until they make the next good engine. I mean I'm not complaining, I've got a pair out in my gaming PC, but they're acting like the 8800GT is a gift from the gods. I know for a fact they could probably make it cheaper and cheaper. And if they can make this G92 card now, why can't they make an uber-high end card that defeats the Ultra? Especially considering the Ultras are still going for almost 800 dollars (AUD).

Everyday we get a new 8800GT that's almost impossible to find in shops...
Anyway, I like the cooler, even thought I like the "exhaust hot air out of the case instead of throwing it around the case"-ArcticCooling-style GPU cooler.
Not having any direct cooling for the memory chips except from the air being moved by the fan around is not good for long term. Also, that might mean oveclocking is out of the question...
