Customers who'd like to carry more music, photos, and videos with them now have new models of iPhone and iPod touch with double the memory from which to choose. The revolutionary iPhone now comes in a new 16GB model for $499. It joins the 8GB model for $399. And the iPod touch now comes in a new 32GB model for $499. It joins the 16GB and 8GB models for $399 and $299, respectively.

In the UK Network providers are having to reduce the cost of the Iphone due to nobody buying them. even with a contract the iphone isnt free. so id like to see how this one does being more expensive with bigger storage capacity

dont forget this is apple we are talking about....they wont do anything like that because they lose profit because THEY dont make memory cards & Apple being the monopolistic bunch of c***s they are will never let it down they they gave you additional functionality out of their jurisdiction. their master plan of forcing you to use all their software & over the top costs for repairs when something does go wrong with your player

but yeah I understand & respect that people want something different - thats why some people buy iMacs & thats why I bought myself an Sansa E280mp3 player *with* a Micro SD card slot built in so i can slip in an extra 2 or 4gb mem card.

I am in no way saying that iMacs are sh!t I'm just saying that for the money you spend on it you can get a much better non apple laptop. specially since apple are starting to kit their iMacs up with more power cpu's & graphics cards such as a 8600M/8700M GT's which means their obviously trying to breach the gaming market in some way as game support for macs is still pretty shit. there are games for imacs but few & far between - but then most of you that have half a brain would probably use BOOTcamp with your imac to play games in which case whats the point of owning an imac in the first place? your more or less just buying it either for the brand or just for the looks which therefore means that you are of have wasted your money when you could have gone for a non apple laptop of similar spec for cheaper.

I mean most laptops today have usb 2 so functionality between your laptop & iPod aint gonna be effected, & if u want it for uni then theres always microsoft office or star office oe whatever word processing softwares available....

Apples marketing strat is so fucked up

Release a innovative product in 2 models with extreamly small memory
Wait a little while for everyone to buy them
Release a bigger model
People will go to that
Release another bigger model
Some People will go to that
Release another bigger model
Rich people will go to that

One problem, iMacs aren't notebooks. They're an all-in-one type of desktop, and a much better value than anybody else's all-in-ones.

If you're thinking laptops, you're probably thinking of the MacBook Pro.
