Hopefully this will lead to a price drop in the US too. I already have a 360 but this will probably lead to a Wii price drop and I have been wanting to get one.
I doubt this will lead the a wii price drop.
Main reason is due to the fact that they are still hard to find these days.
Why drop the price of a product if you cant keep it in stock anywhere?
i still don't get the wii craze..my friend spent 2 months ordering his wii
I must say it is quite fun.
Something different and innovative.
Plus, the games that Nintendo is publishing are pretty good like Mario Galaxy, Metroid Prime 3, Wii Sports, Zelda, etc.
Also, it helps a lot of people get out of their seats and move around a bit.
yeah i suppose....but thats my problem...no serious games..its only fun for multi players...it has a handful of good games which you mentioned...

I was under the impression that the US Government had just raised the minimum wage a few months ago to $5.85. Most states though have higher minimum wages than that since they too can set their minimum wages but they just have to be the same or higher than the US governments set standard. Heck here in alabama before the US government minimum wage increase was set in stone, the minimum wage was still $5.15. From what I understood from what happened in Washington is that after each 6 months they would raise the minimum wage by .70 till it reached $7.25 which means that the next raise in minimum wage should be $6.55. But who knows lol lete me find some sources to back my claim to make sure I have the correct information stored in my brain. lol. Sorry for being off topic.

Nope, Tennessee has no minimum wage law. Therefore, our minimum wage has remained at $5.15 or $5.25.

The price drop has nothing to do with HD-DVD or BluRay. The HD drive was a separate add-on anyway. In case you haven't noticed, the US dollar is tanking while the Euro and British Pound are doing well. Microsoft still gets to pay the same US$ amount for each box manufactured even while the value tumbles, essentially paying less for each box. As the BP gains value, Microsoft makes more and more for every box sold in the UK. Other companies are starting to adjust prices as a result of this. Canadians are suing GM and other automakers because of this very issue. As the Canadian dollar gains value, their prices have not adjusted, and therefore cars are costing Canadians more. It's the same reason gas is on the rise in the US, and anything imported is beginning to cost more.

They should really just ditch the Arcade model or add a hard drive too it. These 360s are getting so cheap that it doesn't even make sense to have the Arcade system anymore. They should just launch the new Premium 60GB for $299 USD and sell the Elite 120GB for $399 USD. Those prices seem like the fairest for both the company and the consumer to me. Personally I think the Xbox 360 is currently overpriced, but I guess they didn't want to drop it till they stopped selling well. When it was launched it was well worth the $399 at the time, today I don't see how they are still selling the same console for $349. Amazing they can still sell these things at that price when you can get a Blu-Ray playing PS3 for $50 more. I guess it has to do with 360's killer game lineup. Perhaps the best game lineup of all time on what might be the least reliable console of all time...can't have it all I guess.
