Nice Rig. I was expecting an amphibious assault vehicle or maybe a pill-box with machine guns with a name like NORMANDY.

Thanks for the comments guys!

Animalpak, yea I love it though honestly the speakers are mediocre compared to my stereo itself. The pride and joy of my stereo is the receiver, a Pioneer Elite VSX-54TX, when it came out it had an MSRP of $1500, I snagged it off eBay for $360.

ThatGuy16, KLH Audio Systems 9250B? Good sound for a great price. IMO

SK-1, I tend to name my computers after scifi ships, this one is after the ship from Mass Effect.

this is what a gammers machine should look like. i give u an 8/10 dude

Is it?

It's covered in fans and blue LEDS.

As for where the idea to use blue came in, who knows. It's a common color for computers or 'flashy' computers, and there's a PCB in there already in blue. It's hard to change your PCB color ;) so naturally blue was the answer? It goes well with the other common colors, black and silver.

There's nothing custom CUSTOM (not cable tying...that's not 'custom'), it looks like 95% of other cases.

Where's some daytime pictures, with the lights off....?

I'm not trying to upset the owner, but seriously..how many cases have we seen roll through this site alone, and yet we(well yall) still think some LEDs and 'cable management' equates to something wonderful.

If we don't administer proper criticism, then the evolution of case design, customisation and 'originality' will evolve that much more slowly.

7/10

*Had you not called it "Normandy" you'd get another .5

Well, blue fans and leds aside, I think case modding is all about individuality, and attention to detail. Cable ties are a fact of life in any computer (unless you like your rig to be a total mess; like one or two of mine are at present). Beep, I've been reading these forums (and 2CPU also) for quite awhile as nonregistered and finally had to register to throw in my two bits worth. I find your rig to be very clean and well executed. With that much hardware inside, it's very hard to come up with a neat routing system and I take my hat off to you. I'm currently working on a similar system (although I'm an AMD disciple) and I am very quickly realizing that, although its fairly easy to build a neat looking system with one or two drives, when you add a raid controller and a couple of banks of three or four drives, making it look good can quickly become a nightmare. As for blue leds and fans, what are the options? Red leds and fans? Green? Most people find blue lighting more soothing psychologically, and therefore are a logical choice for us computer geeks who spend a lot of time at our chosen hobbies. Anyway, before I am accused of rambling, nice job, and be advised that I have studied your rig in great detail looking for ideas for my own rig. In short, I like it!!
