yea but it shouldn't happen. Anyway if Europe has to import all MS products MS still makes there money and gives the US economy a shot in the arm at the same time, its good for America, bad for Europe, this is the proper route

I agree that MS shouldn't have to share any of there code at the end of the day its theirs, but law is law in any country.
I have to pay fines when i break the law or even pay my taxes a bit late and so does everyone else. If i broke a law in the US/NZ/AUS or anywhere i would be subject to that country's laws just because its MS doesn't mean they are above it, if they can find a way around it then more power to them if not well just continue to pay fines or in an extreme and unlikely case pull out from the EU and i doubt that would make any difference to the end user, we would either pay to import it or get it or another product by another means.

Make a start. Format your hard-drive. I heard Fedora 9 just released.

Actually, I was playing around with dual booting XP and Kubuntu yeserday

Might give it a go on a fresh install actually... tis pretty sweet

So your saying that just because MS is bigger than other companies, they should have to release their code? That's ridiculous. They have a right to do what they want with their IP, just as much as any other company. Being bigger doesn't mean shit.

You know, I agree -- MS shouldn't have to release their code, and they can do whatever they want with their IP.

I'm sure they'll be pulling out of the EU market tomorrow.

Microsoft could pay there fines all day long if they wanted, or flat out refuse to and stick around anyway. They can't very well arrest Steve Ballmer as long as he is on US Soil.
