Seagate showed up interesting details on new Barracuda series perpendicular desktop hard drives.

With up to 750GB of pure digital storage in a single drive, the Barracuda 7200.10 is the largest, most reliable disc driver around. New perpendicular recording technology supports vertically stored bits, enabling increased areal density - and dependability - for workstations and performance PCs

It looks like the perpendicular technology allows up to 250GB more information per platter. The 7200.10 drives will be NCQ-ready and will come with 8MB or 16MB buffers.

All Seagate hard drives come with 5-year warranties.
