If you got to the full press release it says:

With the high resolution of 1280X800, and the perfect length and width ration of 16:10 for the screen

Not really "high" IMO and its a shame their english is out, but they are the ones trying to sell it.

@btarunr, might be worth including this para in the story seeing as its not include in the spec. Silly MSI

You missed the point. This laptop for light gaming, maybe people who are playing online games, and want to keep these eyes on the account 24 hours a day. I feel this is perfectly suit them. If i'm going to buy an 17" GAMING Laptop, I rather not do so. Better off with just a DESKTOP with 22" LCD.
It just like a PSP vs PS3.

1280x800 is REALLY good for a 14" screen. My old LCD LG 17" only have 1280x1024.

has the design team even TRIED gaming on a 14.1" screen???

at 14.1" its a 'sub' class laptop made with portability in mind not gaming

- yes the screen is really huge but you wont be able to see the heads pop up from behind the wall or bullets or snipers for that matter shooting at you & buy the time u see the bright spark of hot lead flying towards u - its already to late to bunny hop n hope for the best.

Im probably one of the sad handful that has gamed extensively one a 14.1 laptop.

this is more aimed for RPG'ers & racers who dont neccesary need the 'Qualities' of a bigger screen to be able to play

waste of time, waste of money & waste of effort & everyone knows there are better 15.4" gaming laptops probably cheaper or for the same price that dont have the artsy fartsy overclocking thing like MSI but hey!! a 15.4" screen to get the best out of your mobility gpu
