But 1070 Ti is not obsolete at all, its almost as fast as 2060 and has more VRAM (which ironically makes it have potentially more staying power).

performs more or less the same as the 2060 at 1440p but the inclusion of ray tracing & AI-driven supersampling, the Little Turing is a more feasible purchase as 1070Tis (known used ones) are fetching over $480.

Well, pricing is key. I wouldn't pay more for a 1070 ti. But if it's like 50 bux cheaper then its a valid alternative.

the 2060 vs 1070Ti numbers aren't even that far off IMO. folks are getting worked up over new tech is baffling as if they see Pascal as some deity only to be overtaken by a new minor deity that's better in many ways...

Indeed as I said the numbers between the two are not crazy.
The RTX 2060 is a good card for sure, But you cannot say the GTX 1070Ti obsolete if you look at the numbers. Used GTX are not to recommend because of coin mining and h24 use where you just cannot trust an ebay or any other seller you don't actually know. Price wise the 2060 wins. Don't kill the GTX series yet, maybe some can get them new and cheap.
