1070 G1 thermal pads

hi,
my 1070 idle temps are getting kind of high (fan stop is almost never on, fans always spinning), so I assume it would be good to change the pads.
I'm kinda too lazy to pull it apart just to check pad dimensions, welp

well if I get info before that I'll be able to get the pads and have them ready, which will also save me some free time (which I don't have hah), I'm using pc from the moment I come home so it's not like I can disassemble it and leave it until I get the pads, any other details you want to know?

Pads might still be fine for your rams but thermal paste is probably dry at this point and in need of replacing. You could buy a sheet of silicon to replace the existing pads if you want to but not sure thickness of the ones on your gpu vs the generic replacement.

when im looking for thermal pad depth,/sizes, i usually go to ekwb, find my cards blocks, then look under compatibility/installation. they usually wil have exactly , or close to exactly what you need. a good rule of thumb is to keep .5mm ,1mm, 1.5mm , & 2mm on hand, those sizes are the most common .
