I've heard that eSATA's stuck at the SATA1 (1.5Gbps) rating. I guess here's a rare example of it becoming a bottleneck.

Interesting little device. The whole flash-media-though-a-bridge-chip thing seems convoluted to me, and would have made sense if this came out in the early days of eSATA and not on the doorstep of USB 3's takeover.
