The clear highlight here seems to be the MSI 870A-GD60 Hydra. It comes with Lucid Logix's prominent Hydra feature, using a different chip than on the Big Bang Fuzion by the way. It promises to let you combine GPUs from NVIDIA and ATI in a CrossFire/SLI like fashion for increased performance. Even though it does not deliver the most amazing scaling numbers just yet we are told that the driver "improves weekly".

The other motherboards cater to different pricing segments with adjusted features. Ranging all the way from price conscious overclocker to budget office users who wants to build an affordable rig without breaking the bank.

MSI is getting close to the perfect board layout with those 870s. :rockout:

They still ate my slot :shadedshu

The 890FX on the other hand :D
Looks like this is my mobo upgrade if priced right.

Huh, now this IS a surprise since I would not have figured on Asus jumping on the Hydra bandwagon. Still, there is some concern that NVIDIA could do something to disrupt or kill the chip.

Asus?

where?

seriously am I missing something ?

lucida hydra? didnt we already establish there really is no need for it? and the performance is meh at best and only like 4 games even support it? waste of resources and msi is going to take a major hit in this investment

sweet

lookin good. Im likin the GD70. I'm in the market for a new amd board. Was thinkin of big bang. This GD70 might work when we get more specs on it and benchies.

anything on boards w/ the amd 6cores or what socket that mite b. any1?

Hmm, nice collection of boards. Not sure about the Asus thing, may have been a mistake.

I would hope that hydra technology really fleshes out, I would try a board with it.

the only thing i hate is the memory lay out it should alternate colors black blue black blue, so if you have wider ram cooler's then there is a space

Last time I heard from CES, it's 100+ titles supported.
