USB 3.0 has slowly been gaining market share over the last months. Vantec is one of the first companies to offer a USB 3.0 compatible external 3.5" enclosure. We take the NexStar 3 for a spin to see if the USB 3 promise holds up to the test.

Sweet! First USB 3.0 review for TPU! Nice work!

Nice to see 100MB/s, lovely improvement over 2.0. Not sure if I'd be willing to 'pull the trigger'( as some say

) and buy into it now. My USB backup drive isn't accessed much for speed purposes just there as a reliable storage shed. Maybe if I were to be constantly transferring large amounts of data I would consider it.

Hum perhaps a USB 3.0 dock? That I would be interested in.

Nice to see a USB 3.0 enclosure, but i think ill stay with my ASTONE 481E as it does everything this one can do at a way cheaper price with better airflow.
