12400f Gear 1 not stable

Patriot ddr4 2x8gb 3600 cl17 is not stable in gear 1. I've tried to turn xmp off and select speed and gear 1 manually but still same effect. Occt gives hundred of errors. Re4 rw
remake crashes within a min. Gear 2 no problems.
Should i rise voltage on ram? By how much...

12400f has locked IMC voltage (900mv iirc, maybe even 875mv, it's super low aynway). rising ram voltage won't help a thing. try changing to 3200 c16/3000 c15 manually.

I switch to 3200 but....timing stayed the same...cl17. Im running now occt

no errors yet...do you know which timings i could put in manually? for cl16 or maybe below?

it's luck of the draw with the imc. I'd start with 3200 c16 and then work my way up to 3333/3466.

No errors...yet. 3466 cl 16 18 18 38.
You read all those people on the internet...mine works 3600 gear one...right :banghead:

people have successfully run 3733 on 12400/12500/12700 with no errors, it's a silicon lottery, just like a core overclock on K-series.
