Japanese hardware maker Green House announced a new external hard drive enclosure that can house a 3.5" SATA drive, connect to it over SATA 3 Gb/s interface, and connect it to the PC over USB 3.0, ensuring there's no dearth for bandwidth. The GH-HDC3035AK from Green House measures 187 x 113 x 30 mm, weighing 360 g, and can take hard drives and solid state drives with capacities of up to 2 TB. It's also backwards compatible with USB 2.0, but at a huge performance penalty. Available in Japan around mid-November, the GH-HDC3035AK is priced at JP ¥2,980; around US $37.
