Toshiba's Digital Products Division (DPD), a division of Toshiba America Information Systems, Inc., today announced two new accessories that will help consumers and business people expand and optimize how they interact with their laptops. The new dynadock U3.0 universal docking station and 15.6-inch diagonal USB 3.0 Mobile Monitor both easily connect to any Windows-based computer and provide users with access to an additional large display(s).
"Toshiba is committed to providing its users with a well-rounded and comprehensive computing experience," said Paul Collas, director of accessory marketing, Toshiba America Information Systems, Inc., Digital Products Division. "These new accessories we're introducing perfectly complement our laptop lineup and customers will soon find these products to be indispensable in their daily lives."
Toshiba dynadock U3.0: Stay Connected to All Gadgets Without the Clutter
The dynadock U3.0 is a universal USB 3.0 docking station and provides users with easy one-cable docking convenience by acting as a central hub for peripherals and eliminates overcrowding of one's desktop space. The unit is equipped with a total of six USB ports - two USB 2.0 ports and four USB 3.0 ports that offer SuperSpeed data transfer. Two of the front ports are outfitted with USB Sleep & Charge technology2 that allows users to power up their smartphone and an MP3 player while the laptop is powered down, sleeping or undocked.
The dynadock U3.0 enables users to easily plug in all of their regularly used peripherals and have instant access to full-size devices including larger displays, external storage, an optical drive, a printer, scanner and more. Faster Ethernet speed is also possible through the product's Gigabit Ethernet connection.
The docking station comes equipped with a built-in Full HD digital video card that supports dual display output - HDMI and DVI/VGA - allowing users to connect with up to two external HD displays. It is also compatible with 5.1 surround sound audio systems through HDMI or 3.5 mm audio ports to provide a true multimedia experience.
Toshiba Mobile Monitor: Instant Access to Extra Screen Real Estate for Presentations, Work and Multi-tasking
Toshiba's newest USB 3.0 Mobile LED Monitor features a full 15.6-inch diagonal widescreen anti-glare display3 with 1366 x 768 HD resolution and serves as the ideal companion for any laptop user looking for some extra screen real estate at home, work, or on the go. Weighing approximately 3.6 pounds, including its hybrid case/stand, and measuring less than one inch thin, this ultraportable monitor is the ultimate tool for salespeople who regularly make presentations, finance professionals working off multiple spreadsheets, and anyone that wants to do more on the road.
Pricing and Availability
The dynadock U3.0 will be available for purchase later this month for $179.99 MSRP. The Mobile Monitor is scheduled to be available for purchase starting in April 2012 for an MSRP to be unveiled closer to its launch.
